Hi,

Looks like some initialization or setting issue.

I am getting the following error when compiling "bitbake core-image-minimal" for meta-debian.

ERROR: ExpansionError during parsing /home/osboxes/sai/poky/meta-debian/recipes-debian/xorg-app/xeyes_debian.bb: Failure expanding variable SRCPV, expression was ${@get_srcrev_new(d)} which triggered exception FetchError: Fetcher failure: Fetch command failed with exit code 128, output:
fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/ystk/debian-x11-apps.git/': gnutls_handshake() failed: An unexpected TLS packet was received.

Could you please point where things are going wrong?

Thanks.
Subbu

Hi Subbu,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

> fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/ystk/debian-x11-apps.git/': gnutls_handshake() failed: An unexpected TLS packet was received.
I was not able to reproduce this error.
This seems to be caused by some network setting related problems,
but now, I can fetch anything from github.com/ystk/debian-x11-apps.git.

Do you always get the same result when you bitbake?
Does the following command work in your build environment?
$ git ls-remote https://github.com/ystk/debian-x11-apps.git

If you added/modified something in your local.conf,
please tell the settings to me.

Regards,
Kazuhiro Hayashi

One basic question I have is, what should be the value set to SRCREV = "", in ./meta-debian/classes/debian-package.bbclass.

I am getting error due to this.

Thanks,
Subbu

Hi Subbu,

We have already moved the development branch from daisy to jethro.
Please try to use jethro branch instead of daisy.

3) git checkout jethro
4) git clone https://github.com/meta-debian/meta-debian.git
5) cd meta-debian

Hi Subbu,

The python function "get_srcrev_new()", which might
make some network issues in you environment,
is already removed in the latest meta-debian.

Please try bitbake again with the latest jethro branch,
and let me know if you still have the same problem.

Regards,
Kazuhiro
