Hi Ben,
> But I have trouble compiling the DISTRO=”deby” in the meta-debian, with target MACHINE=”intel-corei7-64” in the meta-intel.
Do you just want to set the target MACHINE to "intel-corei7-64" (see URL)
without enabling meta-intel layer in bblayers.conf?
http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit.cgi/meta-intel/tree/conf/machine/intel-corei7-64.conf?h=jethro
Or, do you want to enable meta-intel layer in bblayers.conf, and
use recipes in meta-intel with meta-debian? Which is your purpose?
Currently, recipes in meta-debian are not fully compatible with meta-intel.
This means that adding meta-intel into bblayer.conf is not supported.
If you just want to use "corei7-64" tune for tune-corei7.inc in your MACHINE,
you can use the attached sample layer.
$ cd poky
$ tar xvzf /path/to/meta-corei7.tar.gz
$ cd ..
$ export TEMPLATECONF=meta-corei7/conf
$ . ./poky/oe-init-build-env
$ bitbake core-image-minimal

Kazuhiro
