Star Tournament: New England Regional All Star Challenge Cup, June 16th -17th
in MA. More details to follow, but
travel likely to be by team bus; and lodging and meals in a dormitory setting.
We have assembled a
coaching staff that has competed and/or coached at a very high level. So we are very excited to work with the best
players from the NYC region and to give each of them the opportunity to become
the best player they can be while playing with other’s who also love rugby. In order to achieve this, we will create a
high performing team.
As we go through the
practices we will be working on developing your core skills (individual and
unit) and rugby principles, within a consistent game-plan framework. It is essential that you make as many
practices as you can in order for us to build continuity and consistency ahead
of our June 16 & 17th competitions.
Additionally, we will be making selections not just on playing ability
and attendance but also your attitude.
Guest coaches:
I have spoken with a
number of guest coaches who will assist throughout the process.
What to expect:
You can expect to
learn, have fun and be worked hard. In
return, we expect you to be on time, respectful and hard working.
Player
participation fee:
Selected players will
be asked to contribute $75 toward their participation to help cover the cost of
us participating in the New England Tournament (Registration, Jerseys,
Refreshments, Travel & Accommodations, etc). There may be limited scholarships available. If you are selected and need a scholarship
position, we will liaise with you and your coach to discuss your eligibility.
