Gracious reader,

Sat Nam!  Later today I hope to send you another, and the last chapter for a while, in the Messenger from the Guru's House series about the life of Yogi Bhajan.  This chapter will take us deep into 1971.

While I have not run out of material, I do not feel I have enough to confidently go beyond 1971 and present a full and balanced story.  That is why I am stopping.  For now.

Between now and mid-April, I will appreciate it if you kindly pray and meditate on the continuation of this seva.  Up to now, most of my material has been gleaned from the rich archives of 3HO here in Toronto.  I feel a need to access material in New Mexico that has up to now been unavailable to me.

When I started this work in the 1980s at Yogi Bhajan's directive, I took the biography of Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement, as a good model to go by, well-written, inspiring, instructive, and well put together.  Prabhupada taught for just 12 years and it made a six volume biography.  Yogiji taught in the West for 36 years.  I think it could easily amount to an eight volume set of great stories, excerpts of talks, and pictures of Yogi Bhajan's amazing legacy.  I have about one eighth of that written now.

There are going to be some expenses in getting this done, and some necessary permissions to be obtained.  Crowdfunding may source the funding for us.  As for the permissions, we will see.

Thank you for all your support and love and the appreciative comments you have sent me over the duration of these broadcasts.  This last chapter I am sending will be a big one.  You may want to savor it over the coming months.  It is spring and I am restless to make a new beginning.

A poem about Yogi Bhajan, our Siri Singh Sahib Ji came to me this week.  You can find it here on my site.  It's called "The Old Lion had a Great Darbar."  I hope you enjoy it too.

I plan to check back with you through this forum April 15 my time with any news.  In the meantime, feel free to contact me with any ideas you might have about the way forward.  Thanks again for all your support.  Without you, there would be no Messenger from the Guru's House.

May the light and life of Guru Ram Das and the legacy of all the saints before us, ever guide our way on.

In the Name of the Cosmos which prevails through everyBody and the Holy Nam that hold the world,

Humbly yours,

Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa
