to Messenger from the Guru's House
Dear reader,

Sat Nam.  You haven't been hearing much from me because I am deeply absorbed in finishing this work, Messenger from the Guru's House.  It is not a small work.  Currently, there are about 700 pages, with more material still to come.  I am very happy that we also have, for the first time ever, some translations of Yogi Bhajan's talks in Punjabi which have a unique flavour and perspective.  By the time - God willing - this sees publication September 13, it may be up to 800 or so pages.

Siri Kartar Kaur and I prefer to keep a low profile and just do our work, but occasionally we have to do some self-promotion.  I am not going to promote myself, but I am going to promote Siri Kartar.  I have never met her.  She lives in Los Angeles and I live in Toronto.  But I have always liked her art, ever since I first saw her beautiful, whimsical illustrations for Shakta Kaur's "The Five-Fingered Family."  Having now worked with her since September, I have to say I am impressed by the inspiration she is able to channel, together with her unflagging work ethic.  The tasks I have given Siri Kartar Kaur have been complex and difficult, but in each case, she has done amazing work using a varied and deeply inspired talent.

Siri Kartar Kaur has her own gallery here and a recent article on Sikhnet.  She has been very generous with us, dedicating her talents to this project tirelessly for many months.  A typical commissioned painting, she tells me, goes for $2-2,500.  So far, she has already made three of them, real works of art, and now she is embarking on three more in time for September.

To this day, we have received donations from France, Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, England, the US, and Canada, $4,500 in all.  The total I hope to raise for Siri Kartar is $10,800.  This is a legacy project.  I am in.  I have been in for 35 years now.

Please see the gallery I have made of Siri Kartar Kaur's art for this project here and consider making a donation, if you have not already done so.  Siri Kartar Kaur and I will also appreciate your prayers to help us carry this work to completion.  Thank you.

Love to all!  Peace to all!  Life to all!

In the Name of the Cosmos which prevails through everyBody, and the Holy Nam that holds the world,

Humbly yours,

Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa
