Error during the test after installation

Hi everyone.

I installed the ixmp platform and the message_ix model but the last one is returning me an error message when it tries to run the test file.

I can import the packages to python but I can`t solve the test nor the tutorial.

Follow attached the output of the error message.

Does anyone have a clue how to solve it?

Hi Fabio,

The key output here is

    ***

    *** Abort "The MESSAGEix version and the MESSAGE-scheme definition in the installed ixmp package do not match!"

    ***

This means that you've got a mismatched version between ixmp and message_ix. How this happened depends on how you installed both packages. If you installed from source, then you will want to make sure you're on the most recent master branch for both code bases. If you installed from conda, you should be able to type

$ conda update message-ix

or

$ conda update ixmp

Which should fix the issue.
