Dear All,
Following points are discussed and agreed:
1. Unity offer is way forward but with following changes to reduce price impact and creating more options
2. Traditions and Streat will be 2 counters for lunch and dinner
3. Streat options under lunch and dinner are on add on payments
4. Transition for existing employee count stands at 185 Nos. SMC will inform us who are the 2 / or exact Nos employees who will not be on roll from Aug’12 and Sodexo will work out on fitment of 15 Nos temporary staff who is existing but not counted in enclosed sheet’s working.
5. Employee wages as existing and Sodexo structure going forward factoring August, 2012 increments ( as per SMC charter) is agreed and enclosed
6. However, under this wage structure, Sodexo will explore the possibility of paying medical as mediclaim insurance and Education allowance to employees who have children and produce bills. To understand the financial impact SMC will detailed employee list ( full with history) and who are currently enjoying such facility
7. For menus of lunch and dinner SMC will mail 7 days menu cycle with detailed item list ; clearly establishing the add on items and price expectations. Sambar for lunch and Rasam for Dinner should be included in basic menu. SMC Menu list will reflect these expectations. No of sweets also need to be increased from 3 Nos to 5 Nos. SMC will clearly outline in weekly menu.
8. 25 Nos Grubbs ( Veg only) as per below given typical menu should be included in Sodexo price:
Drink (Milk)
2 Curries
1 Sweet
Ice cream
Naan/Roti/Kulcha
Pakoda
Dahi Item
Salad
Rice / Pulao / veg Biryani
Paan
9. SMC will modify and let Sodexo know the expectations as per enclosed worksheet’s format on 9 month’s basis.
10. SMC will provide data for all 7 messes for last 4 months for each student’s pay outgo for mess bill payment to substantiate “As Is” scenario
11. Sodexo will invest 52 Lakhs as one time investment to create Tradition and Streat Counters in each of every 7 messes and also to add Natural and Kahtta Meetha counters in ANC
12. All the investment for infrastructure upgrade, crockery , cutlery, Bain Marie’s, service ware will be borne by BITS Pilani
13. This discussion is basis 5 year’s contract as per enclosed draft agreement copy
14. Enclosed student dmand sheet is not final from either side; it is only a working document

Dear Abhishek,
If we take Feb’12 data and work out on SMC’s expectations of reductions, the working comes to 95 Rs/ day. Please have a look. Please help me understand if this is wrong ? it is crucial to go forward in rightful manner and help setting correct expectations at both ends. Thanks.
