It remains a scientific frontier of great importance to our understanding of processes essential to the maintenance of above-ground systems, and is key to the sustainable exploitation of land. The Royal Entomological Society and Soil Ecology Society are organising their first joint meeting on soil biology. The aim is to bring together scientists from a range of biological backgrounds (microbes, mesofauna, macrofauna) to share experiences and understanding, and promote interdisciplinary thinking. The organisers invite offers of papers and poster presentations on any topic relating to soil entomology or ecology.
