Mesos 1.0 framework resurrection

Hi guys,

I'm using DC/OS 1.8 (hence Mesos 1.0.1) in an private cloud. I temporarily lost my master node due to some disk issue, but I was able to recover the system. Unfortunately, some of my tasks became orphaned. I want to tear them down to reclaim resoucres.

I was provided this link  to re-register framework(s) and then remove them. I am trying to understand how resurrection framework id relates to existing framework id I want to remove... and how will ZK bring back old un_registered framework?

Any other tips to remove un-registered frameworks without using nuclear option (start mesos cluster from scratch)?
