I've recently installed Arch onto a lenovo thinkpad t60 and I put Protonvpn on in because i use it on my main windows(not for long) machine. It couldn't connect to a server so because it wasn't necesarry I've uninstalled it. nor pacman or paru find the package so I've deleted the binary and the .pkg.tar.zst files with protonvpn in their names. after that I found that in there remined a vpn connection in my networks and I deleted a file in /usr/lib/NetworkManager/VPN with protonvpn it's name and that removed the vpn connection but didn't fix the problem so I'v also uninstalled openvpn bc on the proton website they say that it uses that protocol. that also didn't work so I've booted off of a live iso and chrooted into the system with a LAN cabel connected to the router (I tried that with the system only but it didn't work) and reinstalled NetworkManager. Idon'ttr know if I've done anthing stupid and I'm out of ideas.

As they say as their blog -ipv6-vpn-leaks/: ProtonVPN applications block all IPv6 traffic by default. So, or you delete this connection that already exists after remove the protonvpn client or disable IPv6 in your system (or Router).

- Remove protonvpn client
- Run nmcli connection show --active
- Remove any reference to the list shown to protonvpn with nmcli connection delete the-name-of-the-connection
- I had this connection without any reference to protonvpn that was the one blocking everything: pvpn-ipv6leak-protection. So, you have to remove it as well: nmcli connection delete pvpn-ipv6leak-protection
- Remove (forget) the WIFI to which you were connected. I realised about this because I was connection through my 5G WIFI connection and with the regular 2G I hadn't any problem,.
- Restart
- Set up again your WIFI connection

We tried the split tunneling feature with protonvpn windows, added Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome to split tunneling via settings, and connected to Enpass and normally used extension. This was tested with both VPN on and off.
Our app listens on local-host, and the extension itself tries to connect to Enpass on local-host. So there shouldn't be any problem unless your VPN client is interfering with Enpass itself.
You can try to put Enpass and browser both on split tunneling or both off split tunneling feature. Maybe that'll allow both of them to discover each other.
To check if Enpass is actively listening for extension messages, you can check by opening Resource Monitor - win+R to open Run and typing resmon.exe and pressing enter, then go to the Network tab and see if Listening Ports has Enpass.exe listed in it. It'll be likely listening on TCP 10391 port. You can also see Firewall permissions there, and they should be 'Allowed, not restricted.'

Support has reinstalled Norton 360 (several rimes), reset the ip of winsock, ivp4 and ivp6, etc. Checked all network drivers. Still happens. Does not occur with 360 on and vpn off. I have two different windows 11 (Microsoft surface) and two different router situations. Same problem on all. Help please.

I have two computers: surface laptop 3 and surface studio laptop. Both on the latest version of windows 11. I also have two primary locations one on Astound, provided by RCN, and the other Spectrum. Both have ARRIS cable modems, one (Spectrum) with eero router and the other with LUXUL router. Same issue on both computers and both locations.

Both computers are Microsoft windows 11 certified. The TAP driver is for the Proton VPN (wireguard) and works just fine. When the TAP driver removed, the Norton problem persists. By process of elimination it appears to be a problem with the miniport drivers (or one of them) but I can' t find any updates on the Microsoft site.

Their support page details how to -protonvpn-on-a-router/ Opens a new window any device supporting openvpn client or ikev2 is suitable, or you can use ddwrt. Pfsense is an example.
your current router might support it.
if you don't want to use a physical device then a virtual pfsense would work. you could also use windows/linux to establish the vpn and then share the connection but it requires knowing how to make a separate lan and configure this etc.

Oh look, another electron application.
>Users of the service may also configure OpenVPN by downloading OpenVPN configuration files.
Yeah, except ovpn are different for linux/mac (updating /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf on linux to prevent dns leak) and default option for windows is not to use default openvpn client, but download their electron application. For what purpose?

The campaign started at the end of November 2019 when the threat actor behind it registered a new domain under the name protonvpn[.]store. The Registrar used for this campaign is from Russia.
