Mesa Sprint Triathlon Course Primer

Plans for the Mesa Sprint Triathlon continue to take shape. Under our fabulous race director’s leadership, we have secured two new sponsors for the race. Many thanks to Primavera Online High School and University of Phoenix for your support!

 

Becky is actually getting married today (congrats!). At her request, I am sending out this invitation for anyone who is interested in meeting next Saturday, on-site at ASU Polytechnic, to give our swim, bike and run courses a try. ASU has graciously agreed to open the pool facility to us at 6:00am. The plan is to do a group swim for 15-20 minutes, ride the bike course together (or in small groups) and run the 5k course we’ve planned. Here are the latest bike and run courses for your preview:

We should be wrapped up by 8:00am. There will be ASU personnel on site to watch your stuff, and the pool restrooms will be available to us.

 

We hope this will be a fun way to firm up our course plans and coordinate any other logistical issues in preparation for race day coming up in 3.5 months. So, mark your calendar for next Saturday, July 9^th at 6:00am and come join us for a fun morning workout. If you can make it, please reply to this email so we can get a good idea of how many to anticipate.

This is a great opportunity to preview the triathlon.  Unfortunately, I will have guests from overseas visiting from Friday evening through the weekend.  If it's possible to get away long enough to just see the routes and meet the folks, I'll try to make it.
