November Mesa Sprint Triathlon Meeting Report

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to our meeting this evening. We had a great discussion regarding many of the issues that have come up in our online discussion. Everyone was in agreement that ASU Polytechnic would be the best place to stage the event. Everyone also agrees that the pool temperature there will be too low on April 9^th. We all felt it would be best to move the event back to October of next year.

 

Our timer has indicated that he is available on the 15^th or the 22^nd of October next year. Does anyone have strong feelings about either one of those dates? I suppose in general there is a stronger chance for an unusually hot day on the 15th. Compare that with the stronger chance for an unusually cold night if we go with the 22^nd. Anyone know about a conflicting event that would make one date preferable to the other? Please send along any comments before the end of this week if possible and we’ll get that nailed down.

 

I sincerely hope that this date change does not cause us to lose any momentum. Thank you all for your continued support and participation. Special thanks to Lily King-Cisneros who has put together the attached Marketing Plan. We’ll be discussing that more at our next general committee meeting to be announced.
