So I received an email from a friend recently. She wrote a really great email about how time truly flies by and then one day, you sit back and ask yourself how did I get to where I am right now? And for me just as it was for her, a lot of it has to do with the great people that surround your life and how they've helped you grow and become the person you are today. 

 

And then I saw Paul's fb status in my mini feed about life moving fast and I just felt the need to hit up the listserve we are forever bonded by and drop a line to say hi to everybody. So I hope that wherever you are in life, you are all happy, healthy, and doing well.

Good to hear from you eman and i miss all of you mesa staff. I definitely
want to hear how you guys are and what you been up to. Leave an email on
the listserve when you get to a chance. I hope you guys are all doing

I just came back from Colorado for a conference...time does fly fast... had a cold and a really back neck kink but it was overall really good!

Hiiii!!

Miss you toooooo... I'm just teaching all day every day, going to school
at night and saturdays... and working in Mesa on my free time. haha :)
but i'm happy and doing well! I'm leaving for Sri Lanka on August 21st
with a one way ticket though!! Hope you are all doing well!!

안녕하세요~ !

Hi RA friends! It's nice to hear from you all and I hope that all of you
are doing well. I can't believe it's been almost a year since we've all
been together!

I'm still in Korea right now and enjoying it very much! Although I do miss
California quite a bit. Life here is unbelievably crazy, new, and
different and I have so many stories to share with you all at some point.

I should be back sometime before August 24th for a visit ... probably
around 2, maybe 3 weeks before I jet back to Korea for one more year (Yeah
I decided to renew!) and I would love love love to have some type of
reunion where we can catch up so be on the look out for that!

Hey all--

Time sure does fly by, doesn't it?  I really love these update e-mails.  They give me a little picture of how you guys are doing even though I haven't seen you guys in like an entire year.  Well, anyways, I'm sure I can talk on behalf of many of the med students and say...it's rough.  Hahahahaha.  A lot of studying, but of course, with the requisite partying!

School's been going well and I love it up here in LA.  There's just too many restaurants to try!  Hahahahaha.  Anyways, as for the summer, I'm going to be heading to Peru to do a medical mission trip and brushing up on my Spanish skills the month of July.  So, starting June 3rd to June 27th, I'm really free and when I come back in August, I'll basically be free as well until school starts again August 16th. 

If you guys happen to be around this summer, there'll definitely be a boat trip (Eman, Curtis, Sean, and Wes [even though he insists my family must be the whitest-Asian family he knows] know that it's super amazingly fun) in June, and probably in August too.  And just to let you know, my aunt has an apartment right in Gaslamp in downtown San Diego that we can use as we please (she doesn't live in it).  So, if you guys wanna do an RA reunion (ie. hanging out in beautiful SD) in August before our little Avi goes off to Sri Lanka and Matty goes back to Korea, I'd DEFINITELY be down.  :D

So let me tell you a story...

I went to a bar with Delia and was wearing heels and sat on a barstool
which I quickly fell off of ONTO THE FLOOR within 20 minutes of arriving.
Delia and I had about 3 drinks in a span of 30 minutes and when I woke up
the next morning, I had a bruise the size of a cinnabon on my knee. Delia
and I laughed about it and agreed that we had lots of fun, but I realized
later that the only reason why I could have such a blast, was because I
had a fellow RA sharing the experience with me. Of course Delia is
hilarious to be around anyways so as you could imagine she was yelling,
"JOANNE! YOU NEED TO CALM THE F*** DOWN!!" OR the infamous, "SHHHHHH"
while pressing her fingers against my lips. It was a night full of many
intimate and hilarious moments that I wish to share again with you all in
the future. Hopefully in San Diego! I'm down to goooo!!!

As for me, I'll be working on campus and preparing a portfolio in graphic
design for art school! So wish me luck!

Hi friends!

It's so great to hear from all of you! I miss you guys dearly. As for me, I'm in the midst of finals right now and finishing up my first year of optometry school! I still can't believe how fast time has past. It felt like I just moved to Boston not to long ago. Actually, it just seemed like just yesterday we were going through the underground tunnels and Sean was swimming in the sewer water =P.

So I'm going to have a 3 month summer break starting next Tuesday and I'll be in LA for the majority of it! I don't have much planned except for going to Japan June 1-16. Other than that, I'll be around until the end of August so I'm definitely down for some RA reunions in San diego, Paul's boat, Korea, Sri Lanka, New York, etc. Can't wait to see you guys soon!

AHHHHHHH!!!!! HELLO!

This week has been SOOOO HECTIC! So funny story. JMah had 2 papers to
write that were due Tuesday 11am and 330pm. Guess when she started
writing them? Sunday night..sort of....more like Monday night. ANYWHO. SO
jmah pulled an all nighter - got 10minutes of sleep Tuesday morning from
5:50am-6:00am. Literally. No joke. She got a call at 7am from an unknown
number...thank goodness she answered it because it was a job offer :D
I will be in BOSTON next year serving as a City Year Corps member!!! I'll
be working with disadvantaged children/adolescents as a mentor and tutor!
I'm super excited! YAY! I have a job! hahahha so if anyone wants to visit
Boston..HOLLER!! (JLY - i'll be seeing you there woman!)

I just wanted to say THANK YOU as well for ALL your emails, they are so
entertaining and helped me procrastinate some more on my paper! hahah no
seriously, i really do love the updates because i want to know whats
going on in everyone's life!!! CONGRATS to everyone and their
accomplishments and best of luck with your future endeavors! We are such
an awesome group :D

Please keep the updates coming, and i cannot wait to see you all! i'm
applying for a summer job in socal so i'll be around here!!!! WOOT WOOT!
