Amy, Marsha, Shanna & Jake -
Due to MN Data Privacy Act, the AELSLAGID Board can not share the eMail distribution list with ASBOG (or other outside parties), and we are asking that during the course of the next few days you consider sending the following message from myself and Dave Svingen (between the asterisks) out to your membership. If you wanted to post the TAS Survey link on your groups website that would be beneficial too.
If you can do this, please do me a favor and between now and September 2nd, note how many people were included on your eMail to your group, and secondly, now many messages you got back there were not deliverable. Those two variables are important for our psychometricians’ statistics. Again, thank for considering doing this, it is important for refining our testing program on the state of the practice of geology in Minnesota !!!

Subject: Geology Licensing Examinations – Request for Input to 2023 Task Analysis Survey
My name is Keith Rapp, and I currently serve as the Professional Geologist (PG) member of the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). As your PG Board Member, I also serve as your representative to the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG®), which is conducting a Task Analysis Survey (TAS) to update the scope and content of the national licensure examinations.
Due to the Minnesota Data Practices Act in MN related to eMail, AELSLAGID is unable to provide outside organizations licensee’s eMail lists, the means ASBOG® will be distributing TAS information to other member states. Thus the geoscience communities active in MN where PGs are likely members have graciously offered to distribute the TAS information directly to their membership to ensure MN geologists are represented in this important initiative. Your participation is very important to the success of the survey and increases the validity of the licensing examinations. If you are licensed to practice geology, ASBOG® requests that you complete a short survey through the link provided below.
Link to TAS Survey- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc4-l2CO5BYp0rAa5hmNCxi-ciR_5jGPNCLH9TchGhJruqoOw/viewform
Please complete the survey as soon as possible but no later than September 2, 2022. We greatly appreciate your responsiveness, knowledge and support. Should you receive this request from multiple sources, please complete only one survey.
We thank you in advance for your confidential response.
Sincerely,
Keith B. Rapp, P.G. 30574
