Dear Friend,

What do anchors and reporters mean when they say they've learned something?

Isn't every story based on learning something? I've been puzzled by broadcast journalists who speak of learning. So I looked into some recent uses (and abuses) of "learn."

As a result, I wrote an article, "Anchors, Reporters Plagued by 'Learning' Problems."
