Dear Friend,

Did Humpty Dumpty really fall? Did he jump? Or was he pushed?

We do know a rhyme was committed.

Those questions are the kinds that reporters--and anchors, too--face every day, probably more than once a day.
Before they go on the air, they usually need to pin down answers hard to come by.

A recent event reminded me of the quest for accuracy in the face of difficulty. So in an effort to nail a key fact in the
Murdoch story, I did some poking around on the Internet. As a result, I wrote an article, "When a Hit is Amiss."
