The ZXHN H196A is an advanced router that supports Dual-band concurrent 11ac Wi-Fi. It provides High Speed Internet, IPTV services through the GE uplink. Those services are delivered by the gateway on your home network to the PCs, STBs, gaming devices and so on via the integrated interfaces: Ethernet, Wi-Fi.It supports the following features:

Figure 3-3 shows the devices that are connected to interfaces of the ZXHN H196A.Figure 3-3 Cable ConnectionThe factors affecting the wireless network coverage range include the location of the product, distance between the product and a wireless terminal, number of obstacles, obstacle material and density, and interference source. It is recommended that you place the product in accordance with the following principles to maximize the strength of wireless signals.
The green indicator on the front panel is off after the device is powered on.
- The wireless network is not enabled and checking the configuration of wireless network.
- The indicator function is disabled.
- The uplink signal is weak in the Extender mode and checking the uplink connection.
- The WAN link is not established.The Ethernet cable is not correctly connected to the WAN interface.Please contact the service provider for help.
- Check that the Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the WAN interface and the Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the LAN interface.Check the indicator on the front panel is solid red or flashing red.

You mentioned that your router stopped working, due to a power outage. Most likely your router reset itself, when it was not properly turned off. You just need to manually configure your PPPoE authentication, in order for your internet to work.
Also, I am unaware which model you are using so please feel free to choose which one best applies to your router. But first, let us check if all the cables are properly connected to make sure that you are getting DSL signals.
Note: If you are using a separate modem with your router, you may need to temporarily disconnect the router before accessing the GUI. This would be to make sure that your internet is working properly.
Note: If you have a separate router, once you have successfully configured your modem, you can now connect your router and see if it will work. You may also need to configure the GUI of the router in order to update the settings.
Try to reset your router. Disconnect the router. Press your reset button. ( it is mentioned in the user manual of the router.). Uninstall the device drivers. Reconnect the router and install the drivers and connect the internet cable. No need to bother to configure the router, it configures itself.
If you found the tiny reset hole, turn off the router and unplug it from the power for about 10 to 20 seconds. After this, insert a pin into the reset hole then press and hold it while plugging the router back to the power. After about three or five seconds, release the pin from the reset hole.
