Merriam (Kansas) Organic (Farmers') Market is a registered non-profit
organization,

formed to promote and support local organic and free-range growers,
green businesses and artisans.

2008 was a very trying year, and we will not pursue an outdoor market
again this year. M.O.M. will *not* reopen in the spring of 2009,
pending acquisition of a permanent indoor facility which will allow
for week-long business operations, including a certifiable kitchen.

Those friends of ours who are or may have connections to philanthropic
property owners are encouraged to contact the market manager, Dave,
directly at 913-620-8427.

You know...this is such a shame...it is in times like this that we need such endevours more than ever. You had invited me to sell my soaps and lotions but by the time I had gotten back with you about it...you had the slots filled. Please keep me on your list for emails in case other avenues open up. I have gardened organically all my life..and am thinking of getting back to it just out of necessity. (quit for a number of years because I can't seem to keep the deer and everything else out of the garden long enough to can my produce) Good luck to all who were apart of M.O.M. last year and praying for a new opportunity.
