Yes, the .,skp file extension is the native format for SketchUp models. You can re-open it from your browser window where you are running the Free sketchup application. Use the Open/Mydevice to re-load your saved model from your computer.

Sorry for the delay. I think John answered your question. The .skp file format is the native SketchUp format and what you want to download if downloading to your computer. If you are using SketchUp on the web saving will save to your Trimble Connect cloud storage. Naturally SketchUp Free will want to look there for your file when you want to open it although you can open it from your computer.

Since yesterday, when i make changes on a PDF file and then try to save it, it won't let me save it in a folder in my laptop, but it only lets me save it in folders of my Document cloud. I havent touched anything, why has this happened and how can i fix it?

Plus, before this even happened, i've been having a lot of trouble just saving files. When i click on save, a black screen will appear with nothing on it, and i cant do anything but close the file without saving the changes. Any idea how i can fix this too? Thanks!!

Please ensure that the application is updated to the latest version. We also suggest you enable the option "Show online storage when saving the files" again as it helps you to save the file to Document Cloud.

Is Adobe forcing us to save to cloud??? I cannot save to my cpmputer from psd. I get the option so save to computer window and it will not work now. I resent preferences and all it wants to do is save to cloud. I do not want to end up having to spend more money on cloud, then upgrade storage and go through all that. I just want to save to my hard drive and folder of choice.

Hey, I set it to save on my computer but whether I click "save", "save as", or "save a copy" it will just highlight file at the top of my screen for a second without saving the file. This has happened multiple times with PS 2022 and I've lost hours of work because of it. Please fix this bug.

I can't figure out how to save a game. I play primarily on a iphone and against the computer. Sometimes the games are interesting and I want to save them. I found that after the game is over and I've done the analysis, I can hit an options button, and "Save PGN" . Nothing happens. I don't see the saved game anywhere in the Chess.com app. And my "Files" folder on my iphone doesn't contain any PGN files.

Thanks. I downloaded this, but still can't figure out how to save a game from Chess.com app on my iphone6. I select "Copy PGN" but nothing happens. Or how do I get the PGN from Chess.com app over to the Analyze This app? Here's a screenshot.

I figured out how to save the PGN file to my iphone's "Files" folder. When you click "Copy PGN" it goes to a clipboard. I didn't know that. So in "Files" you hold a finger down and "paste" it in there. It named itself "text". It has a list of the moves, and above that a bunch of information about the game, who played it, etc. It is a ".txt" file, so maybe this is a problem.

I downloaded a Steinitz classic game on my PC, dragged the pgn file into Notepad, made some minor changes, saved it with .pgn at the end and (not as .txt, but "all file type"). Then emailed to my iphone. opened the email and the attachment and shared it with Analyze This app, and it worked. I could open it.

It will be very time consuming, but I think I could edit the Steinitz game with my moves. The format the iphone uses to save the game doesn't work. Two things I noticed was the Steinitz game had word wrap on the moves, but the word wrap no longer works, whereas my save the moves extended all in one line. And there's 2 spaces after the move on the Steinitz game, and one space on my save. ie. 1. e4 e5 versus 1. e4 e5

As I take a snapshot and try to save it to my disk, it gives me a "Failed to Save to Computer" message. I tried different resolutions, different viewers, a clean reinstall and shutting down the firewall. After the clean reinstall, I was able to take one snapshot and save it to my disk at the first attempt. After that, it started giving that error message again.

I suggest you uncheck the "Save location and filename between sessions" option in the snapshot panel. You will be asked for a file name when taking your first picture in a session. You can change the 'save to' location then too. But after the first snap it work the same as with the option selected.

I know this is an old thread but I don' see a resolution yet. Are you folks who are having the problem using Phoenix viewer? I am and I have the same problem. I wonder if a different viewer would let me save? I've been using Print Scrn and cropping as a workaround.

I'm a brand new Windchill user, so I'm still figuring out a lot of things. In particular, is there a way to still save files to my computer instead of to my workspace? I have an assembly saved to my computer, and I edited it a bit today, and now it won't update the file on my computer, it only saves the revision to my workspace.

And if you need to have an iteration for every save then check the files in after each save. I believe in Creo there is a Save and Check In option. Write a mapkey that first saves it then checks it in.

When saving to your computer, CREO creates object_name.object_type.version_number for every save. I save a lot, especially when CREO is prone to crashing when a part gets complicated. Every save is available to me on my hard drive.

For example, let's say I just saved bracket.prt.267, but marketing wants to see a iteration of the part I presented on several months ago. It happens to be bracket.prt.13. All I have to do is change the name of bracket.prt.13 to anything else, and I am able to see and edit prt.13 and .prt.267 at the same time. Or, I want to completely revert back to prt.13, all I have to do is change the version number to a number higher than 267.

My computer is really old and we are going to replace it one day so I have to ask. If I start Steam on another computer under the same account, will my save files save over? I really don't wanna do path again

Since it is a public computer, I cannot install any programs that will wipe the hard drive. I don't care if a subsequent user sees that I have used a thumb drive, or that I opened a file. I just don't want anyone to be able to access the information in that file once I remove the thumb drive.

Even if the OS hasn't been tampered with, the page/swap file very well could contain documents in part or in full, especially if the program you used to look at your files wasn't completely exited. Unless you specifically tell it to, Windows doesn't make any efforts to securely remove chunks of memory that are no longer in use from the page file. Further reading: this Security.SE question. Basically, somebody could just boot the computer from other media and trawl through \pagefile.sys.

There is auto-save feature that keeps a copy at C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\. It should be deleted after you close the file but it works sometimes different that theoretical it supposed to.

To my knowledge, 100% no. If the document can only be read from the USB flash drive then after you disconnect the USB flash drive, the computer cannot have access to the contents of that document. The only content I know for a fact does get cached locally while viewing is web content; so if somehow this document is viewed via a web browser that would be a risk. But is easily solved by clearing the browser cache before you leave the computer.

Just as the title said. I'm leaving for a few good months. Bought a laptop so I can continue playing this amazing game. I have a heavily modded save file. Can I transfer it to my new laptop along with all the mods list? When I start Rimworld on my laptop is Steam going to re-download all the mods I subscribed to or do I have to note them down somewhere and re-subscribe to them all? Thanks for bearing with me, have a good afternoon.

The computer reads the camera and I can adjust all settings, fire the shutter, and view in live mode. However, when I take a photo it only shows up on the camera's SD card. It never shows up on the quick view and doesn't go to the designated folder I selected on the Mac (I just used a subfolder from within the pictures folder).

Even, I am experiencing same issue. My issue is that The EOS Utility for Canon cameras allows the transfer of images stored in the Camera to a computer running the EOS Utility over WiFi. And this EOS Utility can be configured to transfer only those images not already in the destination folder. Is there a way to automatically transfer the image from the camera to the computer each time a new photo is taken with the camera.

Here is how I do it. It works very well but I am a WIndows user and not a Mac so who knows. I use Lightroom's tether tool. I also use an active USB cable. Turn the camera on after plugging it up to the computer and start the LR tether tool. It will find the camera. All shots got to both the camera SD card and to the laptop.

All 3 of us basically responded with the same info. John and I with the EU manual (tethering option) and Ernie stating the same, use a cable. Tethered you can save images using the EU, Lr tethered or CaptureOne if thats your thing.
