Any way to modify the position of a "child" in "Organisational Chart" view?

I am trying to develop some stand-alone organisational charts (I don't need to view them in any other format or use them as projects). I have one 'activity' (Manager) with several 'children' (subordinates), who each have a large number of 'children' (subordinate team members) under them.

The problem I am having is Merlin seems to always place the 'children' one under the other (vertically). This makes for a very long organisational chart, which is difficult to view and print. Is there any way of making Merlin position the 'children' in a linear fashion across the page for the first tier of 'children', then vertically for their subordinates so that the chart is not so difficult to interpret and elongated?

Picture of my problem is below. Any advice would be appreciated. I don't want to have to use a separate piece of software just for this if I can avoid it.
