Hi,

Merlin can export or sync its project scheduling to iCal:
http://www.projectwizards.net/merlin/webhelp/HTML-Help.en/export_iCal.html

Or import ics files as exceptions in the project or resources calendars:
http://www.projectwizards.net/merlin/webhelp/HTML-Help.en/project_calendar.html

What Merlin cannot do, is to import an ical calendar as tasks.

I had written some applescripts in the past for this purpose but they only work with calendars of iCal:
http://www.projectwizards.net/en/macpm/merlin/merlin-creating-milestones-out-of-ical-todos
http://www.projectwizards.net/en/macpm/merlin/merlin-creating-tasks-out-of-an-ical-calendar

So... I decided to write a converter from ics to csv, because csv is a file format that Merlin can open…
http://www.projectwizards.net/merlin/webhelp/HTML-Help.en/import.html

So please find hereafter the URL of this converter if interested:
http://www.projectwizards.net/scripts/ics2csv

It would be great if you send me your feedback. Let me know what do you think of it, if it it helps you or had any issues with it.

Thanks and best regards, Vicky

Hello,

I have integrated the ICS to CSV converter into our web site in support area.
Here is its [final?] location and URL:
http://www.projectwizards.net/en/support/?f=ics2csv

Best regards, Vicky

Hi,

this is a short notice to inform you I've noticed that the converter had hard time with 'ics's exported from Google Converter.
Event names were converted badly and dates were left empty.
This is solved now.
So if having an ics to convert to csv, go ahead, be my quest and leave us a message if conversion worked well for your ics too.

I just discovered your nifty converter, and I found it extremely useful. It does work perfectly well with ICS files exported from Google agenda. I didn't notice any problem, not even with accentuated characters!
Thank you very much for this excellent tool.

Hi Vicky,

The ICS to CSV converter seems to be missing now.

I used this instead https://icsconvert.appspot.com/.

Great tip Simon. I’ll test this converter service.

The ICS to CSV from our website was moved and can be found now here:

Best regards, Vicky
