Share Google Calendar?

How can a Google calendar be shared (view & modify rights) with
others?
Does this have to go through Googel Groups?

In your calendar settings you can choose with whom you want to share the calendar and can set what permissions you wish them to have.  Not sure which Tom you are? -Terry

I was having a probelm with our filters at school, but have it figured out now.
