What: Food Bank Volunteer Day.  This food bank was started by Shelly Schmitt several years ago after a struggle in her own life.  She wanted to find a way to give back to her community and the people who helped her.  The volunteer food bank now serves over 100 people each month.  Donations of Food, Clothing, and Money are collected and stored in the church.  Volunteers are needed each month to unpack, sort and display all of the items.  As well as assist in distribution and loading in vehicles.

When: Sunday November 16th - Arrive at 12:15 to 12:30.  We should be done around 3 or 4 o'clock after cleanup.  Dress in work clothes and be prepared to load vehicles outside regardless of the weather conditions.

Where: Christ our Sheppard Lutheran Church Located at 8212 N. Telegraph Newport, MI 48166.

Why:  This is a great opportunity to spend time with our daughters while serving people in need.

Who: 15 Mercy Daughters and 15 Mercy Dads.  Total of 30 volunteers.
