Recovery Scenario

Hi All,

In our automation project we have some situation where there is a
system crash due a defect and the application under test automatically
closes. This occurrence is abnormal and not fixed.
Due to this my further tc fail. Is there a way where i can start the
application if not found and then run my further tc?

Hi Baba,

If you know exactly the point where the application crashes, then you can re-open it there. But if the application can crash at any point in time, it would be difficult to handle this scenario.

Hi Baba,

Simply write a function to check whether application is opened or not, if not open the application. Call this function at the beginning of the each test case so that if the app crashed it will open the app.
