Emulation automation

Hi all,
Is it possible to automate a emulation environment.
My project is to automate ship & cargo movement.
And we hav emulator applications.
Just want to confirm is it possible to automate tis kind of software with QTP or not.

We can do Mobile simulator using QTP.

If emulator or simulator, need which environment they developed.Based on the environment, tools can identify objects.
