I’m forwarding this in case you haven’t seen it through other channels.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is inviting institutions to express interest in contributing to the GEF-funded project (ID 10810) aimed at eliminating mercury in skin-lightening products (SLPs).
This initiative seeks to support the development and strengthening of regulatory frameworks to prohibit mercury and other toxic substances in SLPs. Activities include:
- Contribute to do a comparative analysis of regulatory approaches initiated by WHO
- Provide advice on development of model regulatory components
- Consult country-specific legislation and enforcement mechanisms
- Assistance in preparation of a draft document for COP6 of the Minamata Convention
Deadline for submission: 22 August 2025

Submissions should include:
- A proposal addressing the terms of reference, deliverables, and milestones
- A proposed project costing
- A description of relevant expertise and experience
Shortlisted applicants may be asked to provide CVs and a Declaration of Interests form. Interviews will be held virtually during the week of 25 August 2025.
