I am a Researcher at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I am having difficulty in installing your product (MercurialEclipse). Kindly assist me by giving me the step by step guide on how to run the installation. I have installed all the dependencies (Eclipse and Mercurial) but still the mercurialeclipse is giving me troubles. Thank you in anticipation of your assistance.

Kind regards

Ani Michael A.

Hi Michael,

What exactly is the problem that you are having? How familiar are you with Eclipse and with adding plugins to Eclipse?

You just have to add the update site URL given at the homepage of MercurialEclipse (https://bitbucket.org/mercurialeclipse/main/wiki/Home) to Eclipse update sites and select the plugin in the appropriate dropdown list. That's one the standard ways of adding plugins to an existing Eclipse installation. There's nothing specific to MercurialEclipse.

You may have to search the Web for a video or tutorial detailing the exact actions.

If you encounter issues that are specific to MercurialEclipse, you should report the issue via the issue tracker at Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/mercurialeclipse/main/issues/new
HTH.
