Flex + Merapi on a mobile phone?

Is it possible to create a Flex application which uses Merapi and then
deploy the resulting combined application on an Android mobile phone
or iphone? Android is Java based so I'm thinking that may be possible
but iphone is not Java based but now does support AIR.

At Roundarch, we actually re-wrote something similar to Merapi for this very purpose. As part of our labs projects, we took this on. The issue with using Merapi as-is is just footprint and library size. We had to move away from AMF and put another messaging protocol in place, etc.

It is totally do-able. Adam -- Care to comment?

Thank you for the quick reply. So for Android development what would
I have to do to get it to work?
Of course I can't install on iphone because they do not allow Java
apps at all.....
