Note from Manager: They MUST be able to
figure out old, crummy data. There is not a lot of documentation (in some
instances- none) and they need to dig in to the data, understand it and run with
it. They also have to have enough business knowledge – specifically around
Finance and Risk Mgmt to understand what is going on – and to make corrections
as necessary. . They have to figure out what is going on by themselves. Many
times the requestor will not know how to do it or where to go to get it – this
person will be the one to figure it out and be able to spell it out to other
people. The person needs to be strong on taking ownership and taking initiative.

Responsibilities:
· Will be responsible for data
movement between SAS and other heterogeneous databases.
· Will be
handling requests on daily basis for data integration between SAS and DB2,
Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, Informix, Flat Files etc.
· Needs to
be well versed in MS Excel and SAS working and Add-in to MS Office.
· Knowledge of SAS/SHARE, SAS/CONNECT and SAS/ACCESS is highly
desired.
· Responsibility includes making data movement processes in
production and automated as much as possible using BASE SAS language.
· Responsible for migration, administration, enhancement, fixes
monthly production data generation.
In Addition to the above:
· Also
clear understanding of SAS9 architecture.
· Candidate should have
knowledge of EBI layer, DI Studio, and should be able help all SAS users about
different SAS client setup and its connection issues with server. EBI will not
be used initially.
· Expertise in UNIX and Shell Scripting is must.
· Candidate should be able to coordinate with different team for
file transfer using NDM etc.
· Knowledge of different SAS client
installation and its configuration is required.
· Candidate will be
working in Business Intelligence Designs team.
· Will work closely
with end users to assist in SAS Issues, data loads to solve business needs.
· Required to document old inherited data generation processes and
will assist with ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
DESIRED (NOT REQUIRED)
Candidate must know
about SPDS storage server IT file system and parallel processing capabilities
(preferred, not required).
· Candidate needs to have the capability
of owning/enhancing/maintaining datamart in SPDS storage (preferred, not
required).
