It seems is an issue from my.telegram.org side, I kept clicking the Create Application button with the same information and on one of those attempts it worked, so I don't think it is a vpn or ad blocker issue, its an issue with the site, so keep trying until it works !!

You must use a proper url in order to use the telegram api. The telegram will provide you an api key from this site (Log in to your Telegram core: [ ]).For further assistance kindly refer this [ _api_id]

You have to login to from the very that country where your phone number registered. I lived in another country and even using VPN to pretend I was in the correct country didn't help. I tried all possible browsers, even clean virtual machine.I created new telegram account using the phone number registered in the country I was at the moment and tried again. Everything worked like a charm from the very 1st attempt.

VPN and Incognito Mode did not help me.I created new Telegram account based on the phone number of my current country where I am located (btw telegram app allows to use multiple accounts in the same app). Then I successfully logged in to the api website.

However, when I switched to Safari and tried once more, the process initially failed. But upon persistently clicking the 'Create' button 2 to 3 times, I was finally able to successfully create the app.

I'm in possession of a telephone number that has previously been used by someone else to register an account with Telegram. Without infringing on this person's privacy, I would like to re-register the number with Telegram for my own use.

Telegram accounts can be deactivated ( =deactivate) by requesting a token which is send to a Telegram client. The straight forward solution would be to sign in using an SMS token sent by Telegram and then request a termination token. However, this would also give me insight into any conversations of the previous user of this number.

I contacted the Telegram service team directly. Their suggestion was to contact the previous owner of the number to change the telephone number associated with their account. Alternatively, they will be able to resolve the issue if the first approach does not work out.

Due to excessive abuse of the Telegram API, all accounts that sign up or log in using unofficial Telegram API clients are automatically put under observation to avoid violations of the Terms of Service.

If you didn't violate the Terms of Service but your account does get banned after using the API, write to rec...@telegram.org explaining what you intend to do with the API, asking to unban your account.
Please note that emails are checked by a human, so automatically generated emails will be detected and banned.

I applied for a data entry job, and I just received the message from a guy subcontracting people for doing some work **Edited for Community Guidelines**. For more details, he recommends reaching out to a personal address, including full name, country, and telephone number, which is rare since people are using zoom or other platforms instead of telephone. Do you think this is a scam?

How do I flag this huge scam, I went suspicious when they asked for a registration fee and when I tried to ask them constantly for a valid bank account so I can transfer them the money into bank but they won't tell anything, I did registered with skrill though and now I can't recover my money from there either

Thank you for reaching out to us. I shared your report with our team to investigate and take action based on our internal processes. In the future, feel free to use the "Flag as Inappropriate" option throughout the site to report any suspicious activity. You can check this help article to learn more.

Hi there, just wanna let you know that a job named *Translators needed for urgent translation job (native languages)* seems to be the same scam as I was also required to contact them through telegram and then pay a registration fee but fortunately, I did not have the app which through they wanted it to be made and in the meantime, I asked some freelancer friends what did they think of the offer and they found a comment on the internet about it being a fraud and therefore I did not pay them but please Upwork staff block these people. The name of the company supposedly was Ingenta and they did have seemingly legitimate paperwork. Thank you very much

Actually I was contacted for this position through Telegram. They are sending the same document about giving money first. I though it was a scam so I came here to check. I very glad I found your post!

Hello, im so glad i come across this. The same things happen to me, they give me their terms and conditions. Telling me to pay registration fees first to make sure i was serious with this jobs. I was so happy to get accepted but turn out to be a fraud

I'm in doubt here...I got accepted into a job and the person asked to contact via telegram. I'm kind of new to upwork and was wondering it its a scam. I know for regulation that potential clients are not allowed to contact outside upwork, but after being accepted you can communicate wichever way you want. I guess I was just wondering. I havent contacted them yet

I applied recently for a Translation job through Upwork, and I decided to doublecheck some information since there were many red flags around it. I believe the same person pretending to be someone else and scam people made a new account.

Connects are refunded only when a client closes their job without hiring or we find a job post has violated our Terms of Service. If you flag the account and we find a violation then the refund will automatically be refunded.

And I recently joined upwork as a freelancer I submitted a project to the client which the client verified and issued the payment I send them the bank details for my payment but they are saying that ur payment have an issue asking me to pay$30USD for the account linked to their company account.. if I cannot pay the amount they will not release my payment to my account

Please note that payments outside of Upwork are against our Terms of Service. I would strongly advise you to stop communicating with this client. When communications (and work) stay on our platform we can better track, verify, and help address any issues that emerge, and as a result, the potential for these behaviors to cause harm decreases dramatically. For example, the vast majority of scammers that successfully take advantage of talent do so by going off the platform. To learn more about staying safe on Upwork, click here.

Hii divya, I am also from india and i have joined upwork recently and after finishing my work I got the same reply, I was told to pay $35 for their account link, can you please tell me the name of thier company or the person name who told you, please,

was it the scam from **Edited for Community Guidelines** for copywriting (Data Entry) because today i was also contaced by this user using gmail and they started asking for registration fee of 40$ for project but i didnt fell for them and blocked them.

i would like to request upwork moderators and authorities to look into such scams and please verify the client who are giving jobs to freelancers because this could be devastating for some freelancers if they are financially unstable and trusting your website for making some money through it.

Thank you for reaching out. Please note that if a client asks you to contact them outside Upwork or asks for any payment, this is against ToS. Please send us a flag and we'll take appropriate actions based on our internal processes.

Ah yes, good ol' **Edited for Community Guidelines**. Yes it is a scam. Attached is a preview of the .pdf they sent me requesting my "Down Payment/Registration Fee" that would be refunded to me upon "Successful" completion of the project! Definitely trash any communication received from these clowns.

Hi there, could you tell me the name of the person who contacted you? Because I applied to that very same job and had a registration fee of sorts. And I have been wondering all this time if it was a scam as they are taking so long to "process the payment".

I can confirm that clients are not allowed to request freelancers to "register" or "pay for work" as this is a violation of the Upwork Terms of Service. Since you are new to Upwork, it would be best to read up on the "Safety First!" section of the freelancer resources we have compiled, these tips for avoiding questionable jobs, and this article for more information about working safely through Upwork.

I applied for a role recently as a Virtual Assistant and they have sent me a pdf document with terms and conditions and there are various tasks but to complete each one there are deposits, from $300-82 which they say will be refunded... I do not understand why I should have to pay to get paid? Seems very strange and not comfortable so have advised them of this.

The register, which allowed the public to see checks written to vendors like insurance companies and infrastructure contractors, and included sortable data like court judgments, is too much of a liability for fraud, Batista said.

In the intervening years, many towns large and small have also posted their information online, and the state, at the behest of lawmakers, posts similar information as well as detailed information about salaries paid to public employees.

A spokesperson for Batista did not directly answer a statement about whether it could direct the T&G to other cities in the state that have removed such data. Batista in his statement provided a link to a story about a municipal water treatment facility in Pennsylvania that was hacked due to its use of Israeli components."

Susan Allen Kline, historic preservation consultant, and Jerre Tracy, Historic Fort Worth executive director, worked to nominate the complex to the register, citing its historical significance and extraordinary architecture as reasons why it should be on the list.

Farrington Field has hosted football legends in the making, which include Pro Football Hall of Famers Yale Lary and Earl Campbell and the Mighty Mites, to name a few. General Douglas MacArthur gave a speech in the stadium in June 1951 and the complex has hosted many other celebrations in Fort Worth.
