A) 1-2 min elevator pitch
Neo2Inspire - low cost intuitive solution for neonatal resuscitation and aids in opening of airway and provides efficient mask-seal. Plastic hooks that provides, baby bump that opens up the sniffing angle. Low resourced areas, insufficient training and personnel, hopefully provides more standardized training. We have two prototypes - a portable prototype for community health workers (CHW) and a prototype for hospitals.
***traveling prototype just to show them concept. What they think about midwives using it.
***clinical testing at Breach Candy (tertiary phase I/II, and primary care)
Oxygen Analyzer - solve the problem with machines breaking down. One of the common breakdowns = oxygen supply/oxygen tanks? Simple, affordable oxygen analyzer with early indication of malfunction. Measures oxygen surrounding zinc battery with displays percentage of oxygen present. Red - <85%, Green 85-95%, and yellow >95% (high oxygen concentration can cause blindness). Commercial oxygen analyzer is 18,000 rupees versus 300 rupees (marketing price 600) for this device. Focus on neonatal with potentially other applications.
other settings may use concentrators - do they use anything? What do you use to monitor oxygen? is it standardized, or no formal measurement? How much does physician know? What is the process, does it need a clinical trial (more to distributor and not to a hospital)?
***public sector
***wouldn't require IRB
***trial to prove that it is at least what you are saying relative to current standard (probably not 5-star)
***advice,
***clinical ecosystem, have them walk you through given you are a better resourced hospital, how do you imagine one may have to make do with lower-resource, gaps.
***non-inferiority trial

question list
- open ended questions
- structure
- how many nurses, resuscitation nurses, table,
- then go into resuscitation
- specific protocol
- nurses - show it to us on the baby
- challenges
- if we can take pictures and videos
- clinical ecosystem/identifying gaps
question list
- machine malfunction
- how machines are delivering oxygen
- backup (for oxygen machines that are linked to bigger machines that are difficult to replace)
- what do you do when something breaks down, how do you monitor that, what are the backup options
- clinical epidemics?
- protocols, what to do when machine breaks down
- alarm system - what kind of warning system would they have and how it is indicated
- color schemes (what about villages?)
general questions
- general, hypoxic, how often machines used in general
- pulse ox, current protocol - breakdown if baby born is hypoxic what happens next
- barriers to introducing a new device to the hospital. how do you go about purchasing technology/devices, what budget are you working with for new acquisition,
- national patient safety scheme? (beginnings of it) - health and family welfare (usually department in charge of all the healthcare). Not yet, just starting up in US also (<10 years old)
- contacts (hospital contacts)
