Hi all,

One of our colleagues Murugesan Muthukrishnan (73650)  has a life threatening disease(Mucosa Melanoma Stage III-IV a kind of Skin cancer) and is in dire need of our support.

Please refer attached email for more details on his medical condition.

He is in need of 1.32 crores to pay for his treatment. After selling everything he owns and contacting various organizations for help, he has managed to arrange a major share of the money he needs. But he is still short by 41 lakhs.

As an individual 41lakhs is a whopping amount. But collectively if all 1.5L Infoscions pool in, we can get the required amount in a day.

If  I know that I can save a life by fasting for a noon, then yes, I am doing it and contributing my share of 40 to save Murugesan.

I believe that every Infoscion will contribute to this noble cause.

You can transfer any amount as you wish to this following account or to the account given at the end of mail

Subject: Need your kind Help and support for my Cancer

Dear All,

I write this email in my personal capacity to seek your kind help.

My name is Murugesan Muthukrishnan, your colleague at ENG unit.  I have been with Infosys for more than 7 years and I am currently playing the role of Principal Consultant-Advanced Engineering Group.

I have life threatening disease (Mucosa Melanoma (Stage III-IV) a kind of Skin cancer).  I had a surgery three times and as a result of this, lost my voice box.  Few weeks back it was identified by doctors that the disease started recurring and no more surgery is possible.

We had multiple opinions and discussions and subsequently decided to do the following treatment at India at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai.

The only treatment suggested now in India is infusion of a new special medicine – Yervoy 200mg.  This medicine needs to be imported from Western Countries which costs about Rs 132 Lacs to extend my life.  (Enclosed is the letter from Apollo Doctor).

I took the first dose of Yervoy on Dec 5th and I am under observation.

I want to write a few lines about my professional and personal life. On the professional front, I have always been an exceptional performer and have contributed immensely for many projects across Alstom account.

In the personal front, I have two young Sons, first one is 9 years old and studying 4th Standard in DAV Public School, Chennai. Second son is about 2 years old. My Wife is working for TCS as a Software Engineer (Entry level).

I and my family have been funding my treatment so far from our personal corpus + the health insurance given by Infosys. But the cost of this medicine – Yervoy – is quite high and we are trying all possible means to raise funds for this including personal corpus, support from relatives,  Insurance, welfare trust floater support of Rs. 10 lakhs and now sale of my last remaining asset – my apartment -  to raise funds for this treatment.

Mr NRN, Mr Shibulal and  Mr Rohan Murthy have kindly offered to help with Rs 1 Lakh each.

I still have a shortfall of Rs 41 Lakhs for this treatment.

I request your kind help in whatever means possible for my medical treatment. Please let me know.

If you desire to extend any voluntary financial support for my treatment, I will be most obliged to you.  The Apollo hospital authorities have kindly allowed access to their trust bank account for this purpose.
