Iam stuck at 1 point on how to integrate Facebook using javascript to my application/website. User can login to our site using our site registration and login. But if user wants to get login through facebook then that user should be logged in to our application.

If user login from facebook now and goes to our application then he will just get logged in to our site as his details were present in database as we have saved his basic details such as username, firstname, lastname, country, state, city, gender etc details

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

This is driving me nuts....I want to set up Spotify on my SmartTV. When I try, it asks me for my username and password. Since I login to Spotify through Facebook, I can't give the SmartTV a username and password.

I found on Spotify that my account is not only linked to my Facebook account, but I've been given a 10 digit number as a username. However, when I try to reset the password for that "Spotify (ten digit #) Username" it asks for my current password. Obviously I don't have it because if I did, I wouldn't need to reset it. So I'm stuck.

I already have a premium account so I don't want to close the spotify account, lose all my playlists, etc. I can't believe there isn't a way to log into Spotify without using my Facebook account. That's just wierd!

How do I set up Spotify on my SmartTV if I don't have a password for my "Spotify (ten digit #) username" and I can't use my Facebook account to set it up on the SmartTV because it requires a Spotify username and Spotify password, not a facebook account???

1) Go to the link _url=/uk/account/set-device-password/

2) On the page that the link takes you to, log into Spotify using your Facebook log in details

3) You will be taken to your Spotify subscription page. Look at the very top right hand corner of the page. You will see a Spotify account number. It is a ten digit number. Make a note of this, as it will be your Device Spotify log in username.

4) Next scroll to the bottom of the page and create a password. Make a note of this, it will be your Device Spotify password.

5) Use the username and password to log into your Spotify/Device account.

6) Enjoy playing and listening

However, the person who originally started the Facebook no longer works with us and we need to get the login email/username and password for the page for a newsfeed ad on that we are doing with our mobile website.

Seems like you (or this person) would have contacted the Facebook Sales Team for the ads. (Unless this is not a Facebook ad).Maybe you can just repeat the process to get in contact with someone again.

Otherwise, there is no direct way to get in contact with Facebook. You may have to hijack one of the Facebook forms and be sure to state the reasoning there, in the hopes that Facebook Support will understand.

Facebook ad accounts are locked down to user accounts because there are payment card details attached. You should start your own newsfeed ads for now and contact the former employee that had them under their account so they can add you as an admin to the advertising account (yes, it's separate from Facebook Page admin status)

I was connected to FB on my three Apple devices. I needed to verify my password to carry out a photo send on my MAC and i got the message that the username and password were not valid! I deleted the facebook details in internet account settings on the MAC and deleted the Facebook password from 'passwords'. I checked the details of my account (including username in my general FB account settings) using my iPad so I know that everything I am typing into the MAC is correct. but I cannot reconnect to FB on my MAC. What am I doing wrong?

Runescape, as with (almost) every other website that allows you to use Facebook to login, does not have any kind of cross-compatibility capabilities, so in this case once you make an account associated with Facebook, you're stuck with it. Sorry.

If you go to the official Runescape website at www.runescape.com you will see that there is a login button in the top right corner. If you sign in to the website using your facebook created account, the website will prompt you to upgrade to a full account by providing a new email (your username) and a password for the account.

I would like to deactivate my Facebook account, but am afraid of losing my (premium) chess.com account. Facebook is the only way I know how to login to chess.com. Also, I no longer have access to the email address chess.com has on file for my account (because I graduated and lost my .edu email). Does anybody know how I can separate my chess.com account from my Facebook account? I have tried logging in using my username and my Facebook password, and again using my old .edu email address and Facebook password, but neither works. Thank you!

Send a Support ticket via with the details of the new e-mail account you want to use, and they should be able to switch over as well as deconnect your Facebook account. There may be some verification requirements before they actually make these changes, though.

I am interested in this also. I tried Caedrel's suggestion several times, but every time I try to submit my request I get a error message saying the server isn't available or something. I also tried Daniel's suggestion, but it askes for my current password and I don't know what that is. My Facebook password doesn't work. I tried to request a password change, but that wants to know what my current email is and none of my emails seem to work.

I am having the same issues. Chess.com does not allow me to disconnect a facebook or gmail account and ONLY provides a way to change the password IF I know the current password. (there is not one.)

This is very frustrating.

On the connected to Facebook one, when did you do it? If it was recently, give it a little time to see if it awards it. If it hasn't appeared in 24 hours, you can contact support and they should be able to unlock it for you.

Remembering your username and password for a service or app can be challenging. You should always use a complex password, but many people forgo the advice and use easily crackable ones. This can have dangerous consequences, especially if you use the same credentials for multiple accounts.

Big Tech companies and social media sites make things more dangerous by letting you sign into other apps and services using one set of credentials. For example, you can sign into games or apps on Facebook with your Facebook login data.

But Meta recently found over 400 Android and iOS apps that abuse this convenient way of signing in. The apps claim to be anything from photo editors and VPN services to phone utilities and mobile games. But they all have one goal: to steal your Facebook login details.

This gives them full access to your Facebook profile, where they can spread spam through messages or access confidential details. They can even steal personal information from your page and create another pretending to be you to trick friends and family.

This is not a blog post about travel, history, nature, or tea, although, as always, a lot of tea was consumed in the composition of it. Instead, I hope this serves as a cautionary tale about how to potentially avoid the mistakes that have seen me locked out of Facebook for over a month. While I am all in favour of digital detoxes, this is not exactly what I had in mind!

Second, they activated two-factor authentication. This is supposed to increase the security of a system because you need to enter a code in addition to your password. The problem occurs when, again, it points away from the account owner and to the hackers instead.

I am always sorry to hear about people experiencing Facebook hacking and I completely understand your frustration, but I do not have any additional information beyond what is published here.

When you go through the process of sending a photo of your ID to be verified and you receive the email from Facebook confirming your ID is accepted with a link to reset your password, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THE EMAIL!!!! Instead, follow the instructions further down in the email which says something along the lines of

All of the information I have about the Facebook two-factor authentication problem is listed in this blog post. I will no longer be responding to emails or messages regarding this issue since I cannot provide any further assistance.
