Driver updates for Windows, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how:
In Device Manager My Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V Adapter has a caution flag. I have attempted to update the drivers (Kinda hard without internet huh...) however device manager seems to thing that the drivers are the most recent.
Unfortunately this did not work, I have updated my BIOS and my drivers, I believe it might be a hardware issue. My current adapter is integrated into my motherboard. Would i be able to bypass this issue with a Ethernet-to-USB Adapter or an additional/new adapter socketed into my motherboard?

Hoping I can get assistance for a persistent Wifi issue. The Wifi will connect for about 10 minutes or less sometimes, then the signal drops suddenly, followed by total loss of a connection. What I notice is when I click on the wifi button on the taskbar, it won't show any available connections (to my router, or any other available signals) and it takes a couple minutes before anything appears.
- Running the HP Network Check - this method says it detected an issue and automatically resolved it. However the problem keeps coming back. It says there may be a problem with the driver for the network adapter. Windows did not automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.
One other thing that often helps. Adjust settings in your Power Plan. Right click the battery icon, choose Power Options. In the window that opens click "Change power settings". In the next window click "change advanced settings". Under "Wireless Adapter settings" set it to high performance on both battery and power.
There are 4 network drivers only addressing bluetooth and LAN. Which one would fix the wireless connection issue? Are there other system drivers/firmware updates that should be updated to fix the issue? If so, which specific ones?
I have the same laptop model which was purchased several weeks ago. I am having the same issue. I have tried HP Assistant, on-line diagnostics and other steps to try to resolve the issue. The wireless adapter continually needs to be reset to connect. Is there a possible hardware issue with this laptop model?
Wireless LAN is the driver. I see a Realtek and an Intel Wireless LAN driver. Only download the one that matches your hardware. HP used both Realtek and Intel in various models in this series. Check Device Manager to see which one you have.
I have a Proliant DL360 Gen 10 with an HPE H221 Host bus adapter attached to an MSA. Currently, Windows Server 2012 R2 is installed, but I want to reinstall the OS to either Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022. The only OS driver for the card that I am finding is for Windows Server 2016. I know sometimes HPE bundles drivers in different places, but I am not finding a new OS driver and was hoping someone in the community might have more information.
Hello, so hum... I was just chilling on Spotify while playing Minecraft, when my headset stopped making any sound, so I unplugged it's adapter, and plugged it on another port, but I got windows (10) message saying that the USB device isn't recognized, when I go into the iCue Software, it doesn't shows up, and when I go in the device manager, it says the same thing again (the device is named "Unknown USB Device (Invalid Configuration Descriptor)"), so I tried some things to fix it (all of them failed) :
Hey Captain_Dada, I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues - what version of iCUE are you running? Please check out the Release Notes section to see if you are currently up to date - ( -notes/icue/418209-r14/).
Another thing that sometimes happens is that the permission changes what device takes precedence when you listen or use certain programs (Spotify, Minecraft, Discord). You should be able to check in your Sound Settings and allow which programs take what device to what precedence.
Sometimes, depending in the version of Windows, no installation is needed. The adapter just uses the drivers that are now bundled in Windows. In the same way that Windows has steadily improved its management of network devices in ways that make Netgear's "help" software redundant.
I purchased a Bluetooth USB adapter. It would not install and kept making PC crash. Found a URL that was supposed to take me to a download site. For some reason, it sent me to Dropbox. The options to download are there, and the word "driver" is mentioned, but the only thing I could download was a PDF, not the actual driver. has anyone run across this problem? I am pasting the URL below. Including some info about the product in case someone is familiar with this. (The link to "how to" on YouTube was worthless.) P.S. I'm new, so bear with my over/under amount of info. Thanks!
Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately, either I've suddenly become the world's dumbest person, or I'm missing something. I have been able to download a ".rar" file, which only wants to open with Adobe Reader, which doesn't make sense. But I tried, and got an error message saying the file could not be opened by Adobe Reader because it is corrupt.
When I open the "driver" folder at the download point, I see many, many files listed. There are some ".exe" files, which is probably what I'm looking for, so why that complete folder doesn't download is beyond me. It seems strange that you had success dowloading the file, but I don't. Is it common for vendors to direct people to Dropbox to get the files that make their product work? Not blaming Dropbox, just a question.
I reinstalled windows server couple of times and each time the drivers are not being picked up. My motherboard is ASRock Z97 Extreme 4. I tried installing the drivers from manufacturers website and it wont let me install the network adapter driver. When I try to install intel LAN driver v20. it says no intel adpater found. Please share your wisdom. This is driving me crazy.
What you will need to do is use a USB adapter to get you connected to the internet first as this tool will scan your system and then download any Intel drivers that are missing or need updating. USB network adapters can be bought cheaply if you do not have one already.
The issue may be that there was never offical compatiblity for the TL-WN725N V1 with windows 10. The chipset maker may have made one but TP-Link never confrimed the V1 of this adapter would work with Windows 10. Also it has been seen that each time MS updates Windows 10 there is always a chance current drivers will not work or have issues. In situations like that the Chipset make in this case realtek will have to look at the cause and develop a solution for that chipset. Since we do not give offical support for Windows 10 the best solution would be to check with Realtek if this particualr chipset will recieve an update for the new Windows 10 build.
The NIC needs to be a Intel Pro/1000 chipset for it to work with the National Instruments GigE Vision Adapter. If it's not, then you can still use it except that you will be using the universal driver from NI-IMAQdx instead of the high performance driver.
While the high performance driver provides better CPU performance compared to the universal driver, it will only work on Gigabit Ethernet cards with the Intel Pro 1000 chipset. The universal driver can work on any Gigabit Ethernet card recognized by the operating system. CPU usage during acquisition will affect the CPU cycles available for image analysis. So, if your application requires in-line processing, it is better to invest in a Gigabit Ethernet card with the Intel Pro 1000 chipset. While your choice of driver affects the CPU usage, it does not limit the maximum bandwidth possible. Either driver will be able to achieve the maximum bandwidth of 125 MB/s.
I had made a post a few weeks back about a nivida display adapter driver not working. I had received an answer that worked and was using that for a while and only until recently did it start to hinder me. It didn't matter If I was playing a game that didn't need a high quality visuals, talking to my friends or working on a project it would crash my computer and disconnect. eventually it bothered me when I kept losing my progress on my projects so I looked for a replacement online. I followed a tutorial, only for it to not work and tell me to remove my driver completely. I've tried the official nividia/geforce site for a replacement but none of them want to install. Also as a extra kick in the head I realized the issue was it overheating and my cooling fan (Which wasn't in use because my laptop was sent in for repairs and came back mostly ok aside from the entire left side ports not working so I chose the mouse over the cooling fan) could have easily prevented this from happening. So here I am, asking for any good ways to find and install a replacement display adapter driver for my nitro 5 gaming laptop. It would really help out a lot since what's the point of a gaming laptop if it can't play games that aren't made in decade old engines.
