Dear library users,

We have received news from the National Library for Health central
team that by June this year, users will no longer be able to import
saved searches and alerts into NLH Search 2.0 from Dialog.

The good news is that Dialog is being replaced by Ovid (Medline,
Embase, British Nursing Index, PsycInfo, Amed, DH-Data), and EBSCO
(Cinahl, with 590 e-journals available in full text).

Please be aware that there will be a 2 month transition period, when
both the Dialog and Search 2.0 interfaces will be available. This
means that you will still be able to access and run your saved
searches in Dialog in April and May. The exception to this will be any
CINAHL saved searches - CINAHL will cease to be available via Dialog
at the end of March. So in the case of CINAHL, you'll need to ensure
that you copy your data out of Dialog before the end of March, and
save it locally until Search 2.0 goes live. This also applies to
search alerts, which will also need to recreated in the new interface
when it launches in April.

We therefore recommend that you save all of your search strategies
locally until the new search systems are up and running by May/ June.
We hope that this will not cause too much inconvenience to library
searchers.

A full list of the new core content resources which will be available
from 1st April is below.

Yours,

Eli Harriss (MHSL team)
