Prayers for Ron and his family.

Bonnie Oppermann Gaspard passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 62. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. Bonnie enjoyed a long career in education and is remembered fondly as a teacher, mentor, and principal at both Ursuline Academy and St. Mary Magdalen schools. Bonnie's lifelong love for the rich culture of New Orleans inspired a post-retirement vocation as an historical guide at the Destrehan Plantation. Beloved wife of Ronald Paul Gaspard. Loving mother of Cody Gaspard, Jarett Gaspard and Justin Gaspard. Grandmother of Tyler Gaspard. Daughter of the late Dolores Marie Sevin and Walter Henry Oppermann. Sister of Walter Oppermann (Kristina). Special thanks to Donna Silva (Donna's Angels) and the staff of Serenity Senior Residence for the extraordinary love and care given to Bonnie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, with Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Bonnie's Life will follow the Funeral at The Crossing, 519 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA 70062. The family is requesting that attendees where purple in honor of Bonnie. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.muhleisen.com.
