Dios es amor. 1 Juan 4:16
Y nosotros hemos conocido y creído el amor que Dios tiene para con nosotros. Dios es amor; y el que permanece en amor, permanece en Dios, y Dios en él. / God is love. 1 John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
1 Juan 3:16 16 En esto hemos conocido el amor, en que él puso su vida por nosotros; también nosotros debemos poner nuestras vidas por los hermanos. / 1 John 3:16 16 By this we have known love, that He laid down his life for us; We also have to put our lives for our brothers.
EL AMOR DEL PADRE CELESTIAL / THE LOVE OF THE HEAVENLY FATHER
El pastor Yamil nos compartió una comparación entre el amor del Padre Celestial y el padre del hijo pródigo ( Lucas 15 ). / Pastor Yamil shared with us a comparison between the love of Heavenly Father and the father of the prodigal son ( Luke 15 ).
No hace distinción entre los hijos, aunque fue el hijo menor el que le pidió la herencia, el padre se la repartió a los dos hijos. / He makes no distinction between the children, although it was the youngest son who asked for the inheritance, the father distributed it to the two sons.
Respeta el libre albedrío de los hijos. El padre pudo interponerse en la decisión del hijo menor de marcharse, pero dejó que se marchara y que aprendiera las lecciones que debía aprender. / Respect the free will of children. The father could have interfered with his youngest son's decision to leave, but he let him go and learn the lessons he needed to learn.
Hay que respetar el proceso de los hijos. / You have to respect the children's process.
Primero hay que exaltar a los hijos antes de corregirlos. En los primeros capítulos del libro de Apocalipsis se envían cartas a diferentes iglesias antiguas, y en ellas primero se nombran sus virtudes antes de nombrar las cosas que deben corregir. / You must first exalt your children before correcting them. In the first chapters of the book of Revelation, letters are sent to different ancient churches, and in them their virtues are first named before naming the things they must correct.
No nos recrimina por nuestras equivocaciones, sino sale a la mitad del camino a recibirnos. Dios sabe lo difícil que es la vida, y al ver nuestra intención de no seguir pecando y enmendar nuestro camino, sale a recibirnos a la mitad del camino. / He does not reproach us for our mistakes, but rather comes out halfway to welcome us. God knows how difficult life is, and seeing our intention to not continue sinning and amend our path, He comes out to meet us halfway.
El Padre Celestial es generoso con nosotros (no solo en provisión material, sino en tiempo, en amor, etc.). / Heavenly Father is generous with us (not only in material provision, but in time, in love, etc.).
El padre del hijo pródigo tenía esperanza de que el hijo regresara, por eso salía a esperarlo todos los días. / The father of the prodigal son had hope that the son would return, so he went out to wait for him every day.
Jesús fue a la cruz por amor, no por enamoramiento (como la gran mayoría de nosotros basa sus matrimonios). Cuando El resucitó comenzó a existir en este mundo algo que no había existido antes: Su Iglesia, que es Una sola. / Jesus went to the cross for love, not infatuation (as the vast majority of us base our marriages). When He was resurrected, something that had not existed before began to exist in this world: His Church, which is One.
1 Corintios 13 La preeminencia del amor / 1 Corinthians 13 The preeminence of love
1 Si yo hablase lenguas humanas y angélicas, y no tengo amor, vengo a ser como metal que resuena, o címbalo que retiñe.
2 Y si tuviese profecía, y entendiese todos los misterios y toda ciencia, y si tuviese toda la fe, de tal manera que trasladase los montes,(A) y no tengo amor, nada soy.
3 Y si repartiese todos mis bienes para dar de comer a los pobres, y si entregase mi cuerpo para ser quemado, y no tengo amor, de nada me sirve.
4 El amor es sufrido, es benigno; el amor no tiene envidia, el amor no es jactancioso, no se envanece;
5 no hace nada indebido, no busca lo suyo, no se irrita, no guarda rencor;
6 no se goza de la injusticia, mas se goza de la verdad.
7 Todo lo sufre, todo lo cree, todo lo espera, todo lo soporta.
8 El amor nunca deja de ser; pero las profecías se acabarán, y cesarán las lenguas, y la ciencia acabará.
9 Porque en parte conocemos, y en parte profetizamos;
10 mas cuando venga lo perfecto, entonces lo que es en parte se acabará.
11 Cuando yo era niño, hablaba como niño, pensaba como niño, juzgaba como niño; mas cuando ya fui hombre, dejé lo que era de niño.
12 Ahora vemos por espejo, oscuramente; mas entonces veremos cara a cara. Ahora conozco en parte; pero entonces conoceré como fui conocido.
13 Y ahora permanecen la fe, la esperanza y el amor, estos tres; pero el mayor de ellos es el amor.

If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, and do not have love, I become like a resounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, (A) and do not have love, I am nothing.
3 And if I distribute all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and I have no love, it is of no use to me.

6 one does not rejoice in injustice, but one rejoices in the truth.

8 Love never ceases to be; but prophecies will end, and tongues will cease, and knowledge will end.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;
10 But when that which is perfect comes, then that which is in part will come to an end.
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I judged like a child; But when I was a man, I left what I was like as a child.
12 Now we see through a mirror, darkly; but then we will see face to face. Now I know in part; but then I will know as I was known.
13 And now faith, hope and love remain, these three; But the greatest of these is love.
Dios es amor. Y Fuimos hechos a imagen y semejanza de Dios (Genesis 1:26). Pero no se podrá mostrar esa semejanza hasta que no se muestre el amor a través de nosotros. Y parte del amor es que disminuya el yo para que aumente el tú. Es dejar de preocuparnos tanto por las necesidades propias y preocuparnos más por las necesidades del otro. / God is love. And We were made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). But that similarity cannot be shown until love is shown through us. And part of love is that the I decreases so that the you increases. It is to stop worrying so much about our own needs and worry more about the needs of others.
Cualquier persona que sea padre entenderá lo que intento decir: Dios es nuestro Padre Celestial, y si nosotros que somos malos no abandonamos a nuestros hijos, por más que se comporten mal, qué no hará Dios por nosotros? Un padre nunca abandona a su hijo, ya que está entrelazado muy fuertemente con él, así es Dios con nosotros, que no nos abandona y nos corrige todo lo necesario, para evitar que perezcamos. Es por la gracia de Dios que podemos aspirar a la salvación de nuestras almas, y la gracia de Dios se ha manifestado en que envió a Su Hijo a que muriera por nuestros pecados. / Anyone who is a parent will understand what I am trying to say: God is our Heavenly Father, and if we who are bad do not abandon our children, no matter how badly they behave, what will God not do for us? A father never abandons his son, since he is very strongly intertwined with him, that is how God is with us, who does not abandon us and corrects us as much as necessary, to prevent us from perishing. It is by the grace of God that we can aspire to the salvation of our souls, and the grace of God has been manifested in his sending his Son to die for our sins.
No debemos sentir temor, el verdadero amor echa fuera el temor. / We should not feel fear, true love casts out fear.

1 Juan 4:18-19 18 En el amor no hay temor, sino que el perfecto amor echa fuera el temor; porque el temor lleva en sí castigo. De donde el que teme, no ha sido perfeccionado en el amor.
19 Nosotros le amamos a él, porque él nos amó primero.

1 John 4:18-19 18 In love there is no fear, but perfect love casts out fear; because fear carries within itself punishment. Hence he who fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
1 Juan 4:10 10 En esto consiste el amor: no en que nosotros hayamos amado a Dios, sino en que él nos amó a nosotros, y envió a su Hijo en propiciación por nuestros pecados. / 1 John 4:10 10 In this is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
