Chodron LOBSANG will address the local chapter of Mensa on Friday, August
4th , 1998 at 8PM at the Arch Street Friends Meeting House at 4th and
Arch Streets in Philadelphia, PA. She will explain that the basic belief
of Buddhism is that all beings want happiness, and the causes of
happiness. Lobsang Chodron for the past 9 years has been a student of
Lobsang Samten. She has studied at the TBLC, in Washington N.J. with
Gesha Tupen Gatso, Josh Cutler, John Burzosky, Glen Mullin and the monk
doctor Lobsang Rampgay. In 1971 Lobsang started serious studies in the
Arcane School in New York City. She is currently working on a book about
basic mediation positions and practices, with a working title of
REWIRING the SYSTEM.
There is a $3 door charge to help defray the cost of refreshments.
Refreshments will be available after the question and answer period.
this is the only Mensa function that is open to the public so feel free
to come and bring your friends.
