Hi group .

Anyone here tried this experiment ?

Get hold of a high strength NIB magnet, attach to top of small Tesla
Coil .

Adjust for resonance, and arrange for the coil to go out of resonance
, such that the discharge point is within the magnetic field from the
magnet .

I expect it won't work (the magnet would have to be pretty strong,
probably in the .1T (mini MRI machine) range .

Saw some of these on eBay.

Anyone ?

Dear Andre,
Ball Lighting is a lot more complex than that. You experiment would merely
produce a bent tesla discharge.
Try it, Get a plasma ball cheap ( this is a telsa coil) and bring a strong
magnet near it.

The magnetic field is everywhere, so just use a strong magnet and forget about
putting things out of resonance.
