Hello my brothers

I would like to address an issue which I believe we all know is important to us on several levels, Spiritual, family and nationally.

In the Old Testament when Israel was in a national crisis it was because the people had quit following God as he had instructed them to do. Their national and spiritual leaders had forsaken their proper duties and started following other gods or doing as they wished. I believe we see this trend in America today. We were founded on biblical principals according to the writing of our founding fathers. I feel that each of you have expressed this same idea to myself or someone else, hence this letter. Many Americans including myself believe we are in a national crisis and most Christians feel that it is because we have failed in our duty to keep God first in our lives on both on a personal and national level. This subject may need further discussion but I ask for you to be in prayer regarding the previous statement/s and the following idea.

I believe the bible teaches that we as men are to be the spiritual leaders of our households and therefore should be setting the standards for our children to follow. We know that the schools and society cannot or will not do this and is our responsibility. Our society seems to be in worse shape since we, as Christian Americans, have failed to demand that God be kept in the public schools and the public in general as much as the atheist have demanded that he be removed and they have succeeded to a large degree, due to the us remaining silent. I have heard that 84% of Americans believe in God. Home schooling is on the rise, talk radio and TV have so many programs airing now regarding the decline of American and I believe it is past time for us to become very serious about returning our nation to being “One Nation under God.”

In reading the Old Testament I find that when they faced a national crisis, as we seem to face at this time, they repented of their sins with a time of national prayer and fasting. I want to encourage you to consider the upcoming “National Day of Prayer” as a time for prayer and fasting. I have discussed this with some of you and have heard many more people talking of this idea. We are in need of once again confessing our national sins to our Father in Heaven asking for forgiveness and for Him to protect and lead us.

This is just a short note to ask for your prayers regarding this matter and humbly ask for you to be in prayer about this upcoming event. Any feedback you have on this idea, pro or con will be appreciated.

Some of you attend different churches and I ask for to consider being a coordinator for this event in your church. We have several months before this event so we have time to prepare ourselves and if necessary to ask others to help.

Thanks for taking the time to read this short intro and I will be writing with more details in the near future regarding this matter and how I hope we will handle this event.

Your brother in Christ, David
