Is it possible to download any of the hands? I am wanting to edit the color of a marker in one of them to match a logo. I know I can upload my own hand but would rather not go through the hassle if I don't have to.

I've seen some threads about custom hands being too big in videoscribe regardless of how big the image is. I think the question may not have been clearly resolved anywhere yet, and I've been confused about it too.

1) to reduce the number of variables that may affect the hand size in videoscribe, I have made all of my test images square (the width and height are the same). I recommend that you do the same until you get the results you want. Then you can fiddle with cropping things to different proportions if you wish.

OMG yall. So to make the hand small you MAKE THE HAND SMALL! I made a 300 x 275 ish image with a 60 x 75 ish HAND in the center of image (ish), ,and now my hand does not zoom!- and looks like a realistic hand size that would be drawing on my (realistic) chalkboard. If you are trying to achieve something similar I hope this info helps you!!

Hey Alison, if you want to share your creation with others you can use that hand in a scribe project (can just be a little piece of text or one Library image) then export it and attach it to a forum post then others can download and import it. That will add your hand to their recently used options.

When you've selected a new hand a preview window will open and the chosen hand will draw the VideoScribe logo. Click the tick (D) to accept and go back to the canvas or click the cross (E) to select a different hand.

When you have selected a new hand a preview window will open and the chosen hand will draw the VideoScribe logo. Click the tick (J) to accept and go back to the element properties or click the cross (K) to select a different hand.

Is there a way for the hand to exit / move off screen in the same way that it enters = ie visibly and smoothly. Or alternatively, stay on screen and move to the next item. I have tried using transition timing but the hand always just 'disappears' off the the screen.

I was hoping there may be a more general solution. There are many times when a more natural approach would be for the hand to remain on screen - but I don't want to start creating complex SVGs to achieve this. I would have thought it was a reasonably basic feature not to have the hand instantaneously disappear after drawing an item.

Are there any development plans to have the hand move from one element to the next without first leaving the screen. The removal of the hand after completing each element seems so unnatural. I understand the concept of the work-around; combining the elements into a single svg file, however the tools to do that are not readily available from within your program, or am I missing something somewhere?

I just imported my own hand on videoscribe but unfortunately when it draws text it moves all over the canvas and i cannot get it to write normally. The point of the pen is always where it should be but the rest of the hand moves around everywhere.

Unfortunately I still couldnt solve the problem.. I uploaded the hands following the instructions linked by Matthew step by step (right size, right format) and the software just doesn't work with them. I also checked the information of Mike and I don't understand why it doesn't work out..I am uploading a video of the problem, I would be very grateful if you could please give me more insights into the problem!!

When you make a custom hand you have to use two images that are nearly identical (or two copies of the same image). One image is used for the upward strokes and the other is used for the downward strokes. when videoscribe switches back and forth between the two slightly different images it simulates the appearance of a 3-dimensional hand.

Your custom hand contains one image of a right hand holding a pen and one very different image of a left hand pointing with its index finger. That won't look right, because videoscribe needs to keep switching back and forth between the two images.

option 1) If you want to add a drawing hand, import two VERY similar "drawing hand holding a pen" images that are almost identical.

option 2) If you want to add a move-in hand, import two copies of the same "move-in" hand image. The image with the extended index finger in your video could be used as a move-in hand, but you would have to use that image for both of the images in the custom hand.

option 3) If you want a custom drawing hand AND a custom pointer or move-in hand, you have to make one custom hand for the drawing hand and a completely separate custom hand for the move-in hand.

Hope that helps,
-Mike (videoscribe user)

So, if I want to use the third option you described, how would I have to upload the two images? In the "Add Own" option, I did upload two different hands, as you can see in the screenshot I am attaching . What did I do wrong - or why does the software not understand that one hand is in the move-in and one hand is for the drawing? The ugly result can be seen in the mp3 video I uploaded in my last comment. I am getting very frustrated, as I have to deliver the video for a customer at the end of the week and I cannot get the software to work as it should, so I would be very grateful for additional help!!! :(

Please could you share the hand image files with us - the originals that were too big and the ones you have edited to make smaller? If you do not wish to share the images on the public forum, please submit a support ticket.

Hi finally I can adjust it (by moving in many times and tried many different directions). The problem is that I cannot see the photo on "align the hand" window. (Ps, I used photoshop to removed the photo background. The hand is in the center; therefore, the is a big area that is transparent. I think there should provide zoom function. I attached the image of the screen first. If you need furthre info, let me know.

Give your whiteboard animations a totally different look with these new cartoon hands. Sparkol has added the first illustrated hands into VideoScribe. One is CG style, the other hand drawn.

4. Their image library is limited. Remember you need other programs to run Videoscribe. But in addition to that, their image libraries are limited. Their library never has what you need, and in the style that you need it.

I used to use VideoScribe for making hand writing type videos, now I have Doodly which is much cheaper. If you specifically want to record your own hands I assume you will need a white surface, lights to light the surface evenly without shadows in the way, your camera attached to something above the paper, etc., probably similar to this set up...

After you have downloaded and installed VideoScribe, you can start creating your very first scribe. While the software does come with a guidebook and tutorial, here are a few easy steps that will help you monitor your ideas come to life:

Would "bringing hand drawn animation to 3D life" in the particular way illustrated by this video be relatively straightforward in Blender? Is Blender a good solution for attempting to recreate that sort of thing?

You certainly could. Import your "hand drawn" textures on to planes. Then just position them in 3D space. Animate the camera moving around and your effect is about done. Depending on how much movement you may want to add a Track To Constraint to each of your planes, set the constraint to the camera. That will make the planes always point at the camera.

You can animate handwriting and drawing in Blender using the Handwriting Tool in the BTrace addon. According to the documentation, it "creates an animated curve using the grease pencil." Although I have not used it yet, it looks like it is designed to animate hand-drawn illustrations, just as shown in the video you mention.

Hands come onto screen, but disappear into thin air rather than animating off. There is a distinct lack of ethnicity in the provided hands, so good luck there as well (yes you can create your own though).

Scribes can be saved locally onto your computers hard drive or saved to the cloud. Saving scribes to the cloud will allow you to access your work using different computers, if logged into the same account. The program also has an auto save feature that will save your project every x amount of minutes. The default setting is to auto save your project every three minutes, but this can be adjusted by accessing the default scribe settings, shown here:

Your font choice is important for readability and professionalism. You should aim for simple, easy to read fonts, such as Calibri, TImes New Roman, or Garamond and make sure it is large enough to be easily read. In addition, it is best practice to be consistent--starting with one font, and finishing with another can disrupt the flow of your scribe.

Many people try to make fun and make different things on animation software to share their thoughts. Free hand drawn animation software is the most popular and entertaining software that helps people to generate their own ideas on it. By using the hand drawing video maker, anyone can create hand drawing animations easily and quickly. Free hand drawn animation software gives a free platform to show artistic talent as one can do mainly everything on a character. Details of some hand drawing video makers are given below that you must definitely use.

Mango Animate Whiteboard Animation Maker is a user-friendly and the simplest free hand drawn animation software that helps develop doodle videos, hand drawing animations, whiteboard explainer videos, and more. The connection is simple to plan and navigate whiteboard animation videos with an easy process.
