Youwill require an Avokey if you would like to update your current hardware to Ai v11 or Titan v12 and all new products purchased after v12 will have the Avokey already installed and any new consoles purchased from 1st June 2019 will receive free Avokeys.

Once you've purchased the AvoKey, it needs to be plugged into your laptop or installed correctly into your Avolites hardware and then the key will ask you to run the Avolites Authenticator. This will run through simple step by step instructions to license and protect your product.

It's needed for V12 titan use and even for the simulation.

But it's very worth the price because it give you Art-net and sACN 1 universe output. If you have a cheap art-net node, you can output 1 DMX with this avokey.

In my case, I use avokey(editor-key) with dmxking eDMX1 pro for 1 DMX output.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. Hi Everyone, I'm interested in seeing if there is a way to use the Enttec DMX to work with Avolites titan. I love the titan software, but I don't have $500 for the Titan dongle and I was wondering if the Enttec would be able to send DMX signal out to fixtures. Thanks

Avolites are not a charity and as such they incur costs when developing their software. This cost cannot be met by giving software away for free and thus they sell their products to cover these development expenses.

Avolites T1 dongle (1 universe of DMX) is currently available for 199 in UK, is it really 500usd in your part of the world. Or if you have an artnet node get an editor avokey from Avolites website for 60 and you can run 1 universe over artnet.

As dje says Avolites have made a commercial decision to require you to buy a certain level of hardware before you can use the Titan software - this was mostly to combat the problems they were having with counterfeiting.

Or something that'as not EOL, like magicQ, which will do 64 universes for free and get updates. Neither dot2 or magicQ will allow usb devices to be used for output directly. (You could technically use qlc+ as a artnet/sACN to usb layer, but that's a silly amount of risk to avoid buying a one output artnet node)
