With our product CONNECTM, we have a digital solution on the market with which manual die-cutting processes can be replaced by digital ones. Packwell Schwepnitz has recently started using the CONNECTM "Tool Management" module together with an optional work preparation station. They are very satisfied with CONNECTM, which ensures greater process efficiency.
Technician Hans-Jrgen Eckart has been with Packwell since 2002 and is responsible for cutting-die management, which involves purchasing tools in the work preparation area. He reports on his experiences with CONNECTM.

We are not only known for our innovative tool solutions and our extensive range of services, but also for our unusually high degree of automation. And not without reason. For decades, we have been developing machines for our own production, such as laser systems, milling machines, and waterjet cutting systems. 2002 was the start of a new era at Marbach. This was the year that the first setting machine for cutting-die production was made. Today, it is impossible to imagine our production without these setting machines. The latest setting machine, the msetmulti+, has been in use at several locations for more than 4 years. It is a true all-rounder and stands for maximum productivity and quality in cutting-die production.
It is equipped with special presser plates that are spring-mounted. These presser plates ensure that the die-cut sheet is optimally positioned and fixed in relation to the tool during the stripping process.
We will be exhibiting at the 30th Career Day for Family Businesses this year. Marbach is expanding to Scandinavia: We have acquired the Swedish market leader, Stllinjestans Laserform AB in Malm. Since 1st April 2024, Stllinjestans has been part of the globally active Marbach Group. The previous owners of Stllinjestans, Martin and Sarah Rnngard, will continue to manage the company.

With the cutting-die marbacover2.0, we have launched a new cutting-die for the production of corrugated board packaging. This tool solution makes it possible to reduce bursting inner layers on corrugated board to a minimum and thus achieve optimum die-cutting results.
Our division Marbach Die Supplies, a leading supplier of materials and equipment for printers and cutting-die manufacturers, has numerous innovative solutions in its portfolio. One of these is the trimknifemulti separation knife set. This solution enables packaging manufacturers to install additional waste separation knives quickly and efficiently in cutting-dies, making production processes much easier. Now with even more flexibility thanks to "divide by bend".

The crease-plate-die+ and crease-plate-dierc technologies not only ensure the best creasing results in the tobacco sector, but also productivity during die-cutting and the following packaging process.
Whether the crease-plate-die+ or the crease-plate-dierc is used always depends on the design of the blank to be die-cut. The crease-plate-die+ is always used when packaging with a hinge lid or bevel edge design is to be produced. The crease-plate-dierc, on the other hand, is a solution specifically for cigarette packaging with a round corner design.
Since October, we have finally been offering the MCC in our portfolio after more than one and a half years of intensive testing. The intensive testing has paid off: the feedback from our customers who use the Marbach Creasing Channels is consistently positive. They impress not only with their exceptionally long service life but also with their precise adhesion. But that's not all, the handling is also extremely uncomplicated thanks to the finger-lift technology, which allows the carrier paper to be removed from the creasing channel in no time at all.
The DZLplate is a customised protection plate with a printed height profile. This means that it is perfectly adapted to the conditions of a die-cutting machines platen. Once inserted into the die-cutting machine, the DZLplate provides zone levelling for several months. This means that zone levelling is usually no longer required for each individual job. This significantly reduces the make-ready time for the knives.
We not only produce tools for die-cutting paperboard and corrugated board, but also for other materials. One of these materials is honeycomb board, a very thick material that is increasingly being used as an alternative transport protection solution. With our special tools, such extremely thick materials can be die-cut safely.
Honeycomb board is an innovative material that is in trend. This is because it can be used as a transport protection solution instead of plastic, styrofoam, and other materials. Its advantage is that it is very light, but thanks to its honeycomb structure it is still very impact and pressure resistant.

As a company group, we have been addressing the issue of sustainability for many years. As part of our current sustainability project, this topic also plays an important role in vocational training. On December 13, 2023, the Marbach trainees took part in an activity on the biodiversity trail between Frankenbach and Neckargartach. The project manager of the biodiversity trail first explained to the trainees and students in detail about biodiversity, the importance of plants and trees for our nature and living creatures and, last but not least, what needs to be considered when planting trees and plants. The young people then went on to plant three trees and almost 50 wild plants themselves.
