Hello!

I hope this makes it out there to you ward leaders in the Menlo Park Stake. 

I am short a secretary and not too savvy with this distribution list.

I would like to give you some information about this month's activities:
  1. Stake Youth Production kicks off tonight!!!  Please help your youth get to the stake center tonight!
    1. 7-8:30pm each Wed this month
    2. dress rehearsal Fri, 2/27
    3. Show(s) Sat 2/28
    4. more information will be given tonight
    5. we need ward leaders in attendance to help us with small group work, getting kids to the right rooms, helping paint sets, working on props and costumes (minimal skill required - my kind of task)  :)
    6. we'll have delicious refreshments, awesome music, and of course, fabulous company - the YOUTH!
  2. Regional Youth Dance this Sat Feb 7th
    1. 48950 Green Valley Road, Fremont (it's hosted by the San Jose Stake but takes place in Fremont).  The dance cards have the right street name but don't clarify that it's in Fremont, NOT San Jose.
    2. Valentine Theme
    3. Dressy attire
  3. Ward Conferences 
    Like previous years, the Stake YW/YM Presidencies will host a combined YW/YM meeting as part of your stake conference.  We ask that you work with your youth to arrange for opening exercises, including opening prayer, hymn, and announcements, as well as a closing prayer. Members of the Stake YW/YM presidencies will present a lesson, and President Wilson will give closing comments in the meeting.  In addition to the joint YW/YM meeting, we want to have a quick (30-min) meeting with you (all YW leaders) to get a better sense of what is happening in your YW--successes, challenges, and feedback.  We will connect with young women presidents to arrange a time to meet with you, likely just after the block meeting--stay tuned. 
  4.  You are amazing!  Thank you for working with, serving, loving, engaging with, reaching out to all the youth in your circle of shepherding.

Dear wonderful ward Young Women leaders,



I am delighted to announce we now have a stake YW secretary!!!  Welcome to Lauren Foutz!   Lauren is a Southern California native who loves the outdoors, typography, street art, soul music and Megamind.  She served her mission at Winter Quarters and shamelessly tells pioneer stories every chance she gets.  We will all be better off for her joining our team and look forward to each of you getting to know her as well.  

The stake Youth Production was fantastic!!! Thank you for your efforts in supporting that event.  We will let you know when the DVDs and the youtube link are available.

Upcoming events:
  1. General Women's Broadcast.  We encourage you to gather as young women groups with the women in your ward to make this a special time (girls night out, etc...) twice a year.  It will be shown live at 5pm.
  2. Regional Youth Dance - Sat April 18 in Morgan Hill.  There is no dance scheduled for March.  More details to come about the event in April.
  3. Ward Conferences - we had wonderful experiences at the Valparaiso 1/ Valparaiso 2 Ward and yesterday at Palo Alto 1st Ward.
