Hello wonderful ward leaders!!!

We love you!
We are so grateful for your service!
Thank you again for your support and assistance last weekend with our "Life is a Journey" Stake Youth Conference.
We hope it was impactful and memorable for the youth and will be a source of strength to them as their life's journey unfolds.

Here are a few announcements of items coming up:
SEPTEMBER
  • September 26th:  THIS COMING Saturday - General Women's Broadcast from Salt Lake City for all girls 8 years and older.
    • We hope you will encourage or continue a tradition in your wards of making this a special time to attend together as ward groups, families, and friends in the gospel.  The broadcast will be at available at your local ward buildings and also online or on BYU TV beginning at 5pm.

OCTOBER
  • October 3-4:  General Conference.  Sessions on both Saturday and Sunday are from 9-11am and 1-3pm.
  • October 10:  Multi-Stake Youth Dance.  Hosted by San Jose South Stake.  5700 Comanche Drive.  Dressy attire.  7:30 - 10:30pm.  More details to follow as we get closer.
  • October 20:  There is a worldwide youth event coming up with The Piano Guys (Details below):
    • We want to make sure you know about it and you can decide on a ward level how and when and whether to participate in this.  It's totally up to you!
    • We'd like to highlight that this is on TUESDAY, October 20 @ 5pm (our time).
    • It will also be available to watch on a tape delay basis, if you choose to share this with your youth at a later time.  All the information necessary to setting it up and watching it (both live or later) is available online at lds.org
    • We encourage you to keep youth activities to once per week, so this could replace the normal Wednesday night activity if you choose.
  • October 24:  Multi-Stake Youth Dance.  Hosted by Morgan Hill Stake.  1790 E.  Dunne Ave.  Dressy attire.  7:30 - 10:30pm.  More details to follow.
  • October 25:  On our yearly calendar distributed early in 2015, we'd planned on having a stake youth fireside on October 25.  This will no longer be happening as there is a Stake Priesthood meeting that night.  If we are able to schedule another stake youth fireside this year we'll let you know about that as soon as we know.  Thank you for your understanding.  If there are specific topics you'd like to see discussed at that level/ venue, we are happy to hear your thoughts.

*****We're planning for our Stake Young Women leadership training coming up soon.  This will be our annual meeting for ward presidencies, secretaries and personal progress leaders.  Other leaders are invited at the ward president's discretion.  It will likely be held on either Thursday, October 22nd or Sunday, November 8th.  We'll likely have a light dinner and then talk about what's worked well in your wards and get ideas from each other about activities, lesson tips, etc...  Does one of those dates work better for you?  Please take 30 seconds to respond by clicking HERE and let me know.  Thanks!

With gratitude and service,
YW leaders of the Menlo Park Stake

Dear beloved youth and youth leaders:

We’re excited for the upcoming Face to Face event. We'll be joined by the world-renowned Piano Guys, faithful members who are known across the world for their uplifting music. And, as always, many youth will be with us to ask questions, share experiences, and enjoy the fun.

We hope you will be able to use this live event (broadcast on the Internet) for a combined Mutual activity or get together at a member's home for fun with family and friends. See the instructions below for details.

Remember, we all stand strong when we stand together. Let's come together for this inspiring experience and strengthen each other to live the gospel in these glorious latter days!

We look forward to being with you,

Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women general president
Stephen W. Owen, Young Men general president

P.S. If you want to watch the event a second time, you will be able to view it on the Youth Activities website after the live event.
