i have a little bat nestled at the junction of the ridge beam and a 6
x18 rafter in my bedroom. i live near russian gulch park and need help
in persuading him to live elsewhere. thanks for any suggestion of who
might help. longingfords

You need to be able to seal up any cracks the bat may have used to get in.
Open a window before dusk. The bat should go out to feed. When it's out shut
the window, make sure all cracks are sealed. That might do it. BTW there are
companies that specialize in "Bat Exclusion". You might look some up for
more info.
Good Luck - they are delicate creatures yes?

much thanks for advice. he has departed between 1 and 2 am from his perch on the rafter. i had a door open and a light on outside to attract flying insects. hope he is outside now. he has a hiding place in between the rough beam and the wood ceiling so i am not sure. they are delicate creatures, wonder whether they can be good pets like mice. thanks again. tom
