Rebuilding a MendelMax 1.5 with a Rumba

Hi all , I just picked up a used MendelMax 1.5 frame . I put some used steppers in to it and bought a cheep Rumba and wired it up . I loaded m

Marlin RC on the Rumba .  I am haveing one hell of a time getting it to work . I got the Z and X axis going so far , homed . I do have a few questions though .

Should I keep working on getting this Rumba going with Marlin or would I be better off in the long run to get a more current board ?

it is better to use repetier as it is easier to setup.
