storing abs juice

Well now I have a few colors of absolutely and I wanted to make up more then on thing of absolutely juice but I only had one little glass bottle and Walmart doesnt have any. I was wondering can I use a pet bottle or uhmw bottle? Obviously abs bottle is out of the question!!! Just don't want to wake up to a mess so I thought I would ask.

This is going back a while to my days in the analytical lab but from memory;

Brown/clear glass is best or if you are insisting on using Plastic then Polypropylene (PP or recycling number 5), LDPE (LDPE No4) , HDPE (HDPE No2). Just be careful that the plastic lid and seal are one of these or PTFE.

+1 on wife's old nail polish remover bottles.

Most glass medicine bottles like cough syrup, kids paracetamol syrup etc will be fine. They have PP sealing liners. The wife works in pharmacy and used to get me the bottles they decant methadone into for heroin addicts on the NHS empty ones of course ....every cloud......

Oh one other thing is uncoated or zinc coated mild steel is great for long term/large amounts.

Russell what is uhmw??? And I would advise aginst getting a wife purely for nail polish remover. V expensive option.

Ask your local chemist /drugstore for a few empty bottles.

Larry now I understand why you seem to have mastered printing so quickly!

I have 2 kids under 26months, and a wife who thinks I have a mistress in the garage! I am lucky if I ever manage to get 2 uninterrupted hours in the workshop!

Ultra high molecular weight polyethiline sorry for the spelling. It'd what a lot of plastic cutting boards are made out of.

From the literature it has the same resistance as LDPE and HDPE.

also for the record, mason jars, those jars w/ two piecel ids usually for holding jams and jelly, or the worlds sweetest apple sauce if my grandfathre has had his way, will NOT work, the acetnoe evaporates out somehow thru the rubber seals.  wont spill, but you have ABS Ooze in a few days time, not glue.  gets real thick real fast, so not a good solution!
