Hi All,

I was wondering how long it takes other people to compile Marlin firmware in Arduino, when uploading to their board?

I've got the latest version of Ardunio, on a relatively decent (i7 processor, 8GB ram) computer, but since I started playing with the firmware, it is taking 15 minutes to compile.

I have a feeling that it could just be something wrong with my Arduino software, since it's also taking a LOT longer (than it used to) to compile software for my Arduino Mega that I use for other projects... but I've only been having this issue since I first tried to compile Marlin.

Has anyone seen any issues like this before?

Yes it shouldn't take that long to process.  On my macbook I think the upload takes longer than the compile, and the whole process is less than a minute.

Does it take a long time if you "verify" the code?  Are there any timeouts reported or does it just ...do nothing?

Two minutes tops on an older Core 2 laptop.
Using Arduino 1.0 or 023
