Call for Participants: Writing Programs and Pedagogies in the MENA Region

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for cross-posting this call for participants.

My name is Halle Neiderman, and I am a Visiting Assistant Professor with the English Department at the American University of Beirut.

I am reaching out to writing faculty and administrators in MENA region writing programs. I am inviting you to participate in a research study about writing programs and composition pedagogy at American-style universities in the MENA region. The working title is “Writing Programs and Composition in the MENA Region: Epistemologies, Practices, and Future Outlooks.” 

I am requesting participants for a zoom recorded interview at the time and day of your choice. The estimated time to complete the interview is no more than 45 minutes. You are welcome to have your camera off or on. You are welcome to end the interview at any time. Identifiers of the participant and the university will be anonymized.

The interview asks questions concerning the foundations of your writing program and composition courses. It will consist of open-ended questions. 

The research has been approved by the American University of Beirut's IRB Board, reference: SBS-2023-0370.
